This is the phrase they use if you have found where you belong be that a community of like minded people, family, friends, clique, club, church and so on. I am still searching for mine. I am a wrong fit in my current habitat. I do have my family which I love and of course myLot family which I frequent interacting with. Maybe I will find mine in book clubs in meetup hopefully or an art class once I am retired from my current job. Or I might reconnect with old friends, I wonder.

I wish I could find a book club in the city, but I haven't seen one.

@yoalldudes I agree. I wish I could continue my master's degree in UPLB.

When you meet 'your people' you will know who they are and won't have to wonder. Sometimes strangers just recognize each other and become friends.

I think 'my people' are survivors-like-me---who have BEEN totally helpless (paralyzed ... is that the same as paraplegic? ... (or is that a 'from birth'-disability (which I DIDN'T have)? ... ... possibly, but it's an adgective that applies to ALL those paralyzed "in all or part of the trunk, legs, and pelvic organs") but who are now mostly functional yet still need help in some way (MY way is that I can't 'drive a car'; but I can speak & read English, and can be a good friend whom you can tell all your troubles etc. and can be someone who understands & sympathizes and gives you hope for the future and a reminder to focus on what you DO have going for you) and who understand that--though I CAN do all that--I need 'someone' (probably them) to transport me there first

I think you are very rich in quality of inner life because of your wisdom, positive attitude and sense of humor (from our past interactions). I have never learned to drive a car; I communte. And you also have a big heart.

I'm lucky that my relationship with family members remain close during all these years. We care for each other and communicate often on the net. We see each other from time to time I also have a few close friends. We don't agree 100 percent on everything but we can talk freely.

My best friends are my books. In an apartment community people come and go. I don’t like book clubs because I like to choose my own books to read. I see family occasionally but people must work and there isn’t much time left for visiting.

I don't like to fit in nor do I want to fit in. I like me being me and I like other people being them, and I enjoy the diversity of culture, attitude, mindset, opinion, politics and other things. There ARE groups I don't enjoy as much and do avoid. But that's for another day.

I tend to feel that way on Tik Tok. I can relate to so many things people post. In real life I have 2 friends. Those are my people for sure we think alike and enjoy the same stuff.

@yoalldudes I feel like it’s easier to find a community for us online than in real life. It’s nice when you can relate to people

@Ladanger That is what I observed too. If only I have an online work, I wonder if I would enjoy life better.
