Weekend celebrations

Last weekend was our 21st wedding anniversary. We started the day off by enrolling our son in driving lessons. Thankfully, our father left us his old car to use for commuting within the city. In order to commemorate our productive day, we later had lunch in a small restaurant.
Then, to formally celebrate our anniversary, my wife made reservations for us at a buffet restaurant close to our house on Sunday. As she was supposed to have it last Saturday, it was already fully booked. We were able to schedule a time slot starting at 5 PM. We anticipated it would be crowded by the time we got there, so we came an hour early. We then dine and have a good time for the next two hours.

I appreciate the greeting. We enjoyed the buffet because there were so many options for food that we could select and consume to our liking. Because I'm not used to eating a variety of things at once and after two or three plates, I wasn't able to finish everything there.

@arunima25 Yes the only thing that stops me is my hypertension which limits the food that I have to take. I guess that is the problem in my age, I can afford but my health cannot.

@rsa101 Buffet is good. You have a variety to choose from and then you take the portions as much as you want. So, there is less wastage of food.

The buffet meals were delicious. There were numerous options, but I was unable to sample them all since there were simply too many options to consume. I really loved their desserts since there were so many of them and they were all bite-sized, making it easy to try everything.

On a regular weekend, we hardly ever did that. The presence of my loving wife and son was therefore something I deeply appreciated. Small celebrations like these are rare, especially now that following laws and restrictions is easy to do nowadays.

@m_audrey6788 Yes I think we have to splurge on special days like these. Plus the fact that everything is getting back to normal once again.

That's good enough to spend two hours having a date for your wedding anniversary. Last April 24, my wife and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary at our favorite fast food kiosk. We ate our lunch there after we attended our Sunday Church services in the morning.
By the way, belated happy wedding anniversary to both of you.
