In my country Philippines, more and more people use Bicycle as an alternative transportation vehicle. There was a woman being interviewed she drive her car everyday and it took her 1 hour or worse 3 hours to reach her office due to traffic, In addition she spent $ 100 dollars or $ 200 dollars for the gasoline and spare parts. When she bought a mountain bike it took her 45 minutes only to reach her office. Aside from those she saves $100 or $200 for gasoline and spare parts. She added her body feels good when cycling. WoW! Last month I visited a bicycle shop near my house it was full of bicycles. to be specific adult bicycles such as mountain bikes, road bikes, racing bikes etc. Yesterday I visited it again and I was surprised half of the bicycles were sold out. People are getting addicted to bicycles or should I say due to gasoline or diesel they are looking for solution and bicycle is the answer and people are tired of the gasoline price hike problem. By the way I have a mountain bike as well. and use it for my daily transportation vehicle. So do you ride bicycle or planning to buy one soon?

After 2 years of trying to buy bikes (shortage!), we finally got them a couple months ago. We know many Filipinos here who are bike enthusiasts!

@Kandae11 Well, the secret to learning to ride a bicycle is to ride a smaller bicycle. This way it is easy to counter balance using your feet whenever the bicycle is about to fall. It's never late to learn riding it. Try it because its' fun.

I used to ride my MTB to the office. Now I use my mountain bike for physical exercise. I feel great after a workout.
