A friend of mine has been taking cold showers for decades. He takes cold showers even in winter. In Hong Kong, the temperature in winter is about 6-10C. Some research suggested that taking cold showers offers many benefits such as increasing circulation and calming your itchy skin. People trying this practice usually start by lowering the temperature of the water. I prefer taking a lukewarm shower. It makes me feel more relaxed. During these hot days, do you take cold showers?

Yes. If there's a need to do a cold bath when it's too hot, I don't hesitate to do so to lessen any heat in my body.

Just try the temperature of the water. Cool it down until you feel comfortable.

Usually I prefer taking warm showers. Although when it's really hot I make the temperatures a little cooler.

I do not take cold showers, but I always take a cool shower regardless of the time of the year. I feel it is more refreshing.

I start with a normal temperature shower, and then the last bit of the shower it is cold. I sometimes get overheated in the shower and I have blacked out twice, so I also cool myself before I leave and it helps a lot when the day is really hot.

I am with you on the lukewarm idea. That's how I tend to take mine in the summer. Sometimes more cold than lukewarm, but never ice cold.
