Downside of Living in one Room

I love my room, it is perfect for me and since got the Laura Ashley bedding it is even better but I often lose of what day it is. Today was one of those days, I thought it was the 21st, nope it is the 22. This is not a good thing since I have articles due on certain dates and I really need to keep track.
I have the option to go with Kasey to visit her mother-in-law today, but I haven't decided if I want to go yet. I like her mother-in-law but it is so hot out and I do have a lot of work to do. They also want lobster rolls for lunch and I am not sure I'm in the mood for that.
I had a sad moment last night, I just needed to cry a little and now I am back. It has been a while since I had one of those. I just miss Al, I know I always will but forever seems so long!!
It's 10:30 and I haven't gotten dressed yet. lol My bad. I did have a nice conversation with Brandon who slept here last night. I don't get to see him that often.
I hope everyone is having a great day.

Oh, Belle, my heart breaks for you. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose my husband; but I know I would be devastated. I have no words of wisdom for you because each person has to recover differently. Maybe it would be good for you to go out and see people. Take care, stay cool; and stay hydrated. Love the dog picture.

@BelleStarr I think I will miss the dog company the most if my hubby should pass. We haven't had dogs in about 2 years now. :-(

I do the same thing. I have two calendars and a planner and still can't keep it straight.

You're so very welcome Belle. I agree that you were lucky to have had such a great love but I can't imagine what you've been going through.
I hope you remain happy and I know Kasey is very well aware of your emotions as she too went through it.

Thank you, it has been a difficult adjustment, we were together since I was 15. Married 53 years. I was lucky to find a great love but it is also hard to be without my best friend. But, I am doing much better and I am happy here with Kasey and the boys.

I think that staying in during this weather is not a terrible idea.
I hibernate during the summer and during the winter, on the worst weather days of each season.
One of my hubby's brothers lost his wife the week before Christmas last year.
They were a tight couple, what you and Al remind me of.
I think of his brother, Bob, every morning, and I just pray that he knows that he is loved and I hope that he can recall the happier times when his wife was alive, without it hurting too much. I hope the same for you.
Forever is a long time.

It is very long indeed. I am sorry for your brother-in-law, this living without your love is hell! I am at the point where I can talk about Al without tears and smile when I remember the good time which were many.

@BelleStarr My brother-in-law is not at the point where he can speak of his wife without tearing up.
Maybe in time, maybe.

Maybe you should mark the days off in a calendar to keep track. I've lost track of the days before but it doesn't happen often.

@BelleStarr you can make monthly calendars on word or simply write the days down on a sheet of paper and Mark them off before you go to bed.

Oh Belle, I think you are so brave. And I know God gives you strength and comfort every day, but it's still so hard.

I feel stronger than I did a few months ago but I feel this emptiness that nothing can fill. I do pray more so that is the upside lol

That is why I stay with Kasey, while I am alone without Al I always have someone around.

I'm sorry you had a sad moment. But I agree, you always will miss him and will have many of those days/nights.. but that's because he was a big part of you and your life and you loved him and still do! *hugs!

It's 10:15 p.m now. I am about to hit the hay. My morning and afternoon went by so quickly. I hope you had a great day too.

It's ok to miss him like you are, I can only imagine how much it still hurts. It sounds like you are trying hard to move forward and do what you can. Glad you got to visit with Brandson, that always helps. Take care of yourself.

Good to know with that conversation with Brandon. I do know that you've enjoyed that much.
