I love watching drumbands when I was a kid. However, I watched it again when I was in the capital city. I was doing the jogging and on my way back I stopped to watch it. I used the opportunity to take a shot of the matching band.
What's your take on it? I am sure some of you used to be members of the narching bands in your country.
The photo is mine.

In our country, matching bands are usually played by military academy students or government employees who are given tasks to commemorate the coming of election or celebration.

@yanzalong I like the fact that they still exist even up to this modern time. Mostly teenagers don't appreciate it because of the technology we have

Nice picture and will have to use my imagination. I do not have a account with them so will not let me see I guess sounds a lot like how New Orleans does their first line. Maybe its the second. but cool either way. I love that type of stuff too.

There really is something so special thanks for sharing it.
I love the organization and the discipline they have the marching bands, all in sync.
I have only seen a marching band once in a St Patrick parade.

Marching bands are always great to watch. We have also street dancing here every year in the Summer Capital of the country - Baguio City - in which street dancers display their dancing skills while they parade on the street. This is called the Panagbenga Festival. Usually, the dances are cultural dances of the cordilleras.

Parades in our country are usually held mostly by students with the purpose of school participations in celebrating a big event.

We don’t have this kind of bands in our country. Music that is taught in schools is very simple , mostly history and how to read notes. If you want to play an instrument there are lots of private music schools that are affordable. I did enjoy watching marching bands in the US tho.
