Did you guys notice we had a pay day? I was surprised when I looked at my email and there it was.
We’ve had so many thunderstorm and heavy rains for the last few weeks but I walk by the creek every day or two and the water was never high until yesterday. Water was almost over the banks and rushing downstream.
I haven’t seen it like that in a long time. Mosquitoes and gnats were thick and I didn’t linger. I was caught in the rain on my way back which was nice and cooling so I didn’t mind getting wet.

@wolfgirl569 All of a sudden they were at the creek. I didn’t stay long. I hope they don’t spread to my apartment.

We also had thunderstorm forecast for a week.
The payment is early again. I don't have money but this month will surely reach the minimum.

Oh yes, it's nice to see "pay day" each month .
It looks so lovely there . . . but I'll bet the massive insects are not so fun. It's so amazing that it's stormy out in some places - and places like ours are so darn dry with no rain in sight.

That’s a beautiful photo. I imagine if you remove the summer heat, the gnats and the mosquitoes, it’s probably a great place to relax and enjoy God’s beauty

@RubyHawk Very interesting that you are getting lots of rain this summer. It's been a very dry summer her in my area of Florida. Not drought-like conditions, but we really haven't been getting our daily deluge of afternoon thunderstorms like we usually do.

@moffittjc We’ve had rain practically every day for a month. We have had a few sunny days but it’s rained twice today. I’ve heard with too much rain in some parts of the country and drought in other areas that we could have a food shortage this fall. Have you heard that?

@RebeccasFarm Those were the first I’ve seen this year. It’s because we’ve had so much rain. Everything is damp and wet.

Rain is needed but, just enough for water wells. Insects, not mi favorite things. Though I like, ladybugs in the wild.

Here, we have over 50 cases of malaria, a serious disease that spreads when you're bitten by a mosquito infected by tiny parasites. All patients got the disease from Africa. No local case is found so far.

@RubyHawk Right now, we don't have local cases. All cases are imported. They are from Africa. The patients have to be isolated in hotels or hospitals.
