I don't buy groceries online very often, but I have done so on occasion. Sometimes things online are less than what is in the store, so I will do it. I have some tuna packets in my cart now on Amazon, better price than the store. If you do buy them online, what types of things do you typically get good deals on? Inquiring minds want to know,

Since the pandemic we had been buying our groceries online except perishables.
What I buy online are condiments and spices. I buy essentials in bulk like canned goods, cooking oil, flour, sugar, powdered milk etc..etc...several gallons or kilos of these stuffs that would last us weeks or months with a press of a button. It's what I do lately to fight inflation cause the price now wont be the same next week or next month( it keeps going up) so better buy a lot at current prices. I also find buying in packs like packs of 4 ,5 or 6 to be much cheaper..
Buying things online is more convenient, time saving and saves gas, we just polish our stash from time to time in a nearby grocery store that is walking distance

@snowy22315 I weigh shipping charges vs cost of gas, vehicle wear and tear, convenience and my productive time. Labor cost is lower here in Asia compared there so shipping charges is much much lower. It's like comparing shipping cost of an item from China and one you bought in Europe or even within the U.S.

Mostly I order online for a store pick-up (supermarket, Walmart,Sams Club) but Amazon does have some prices that can beat the store. I just found Honey Nut Cheerios cheaper on Amazon and McCormack cinnamon. I was really surprised that Amazon had a brand name cinnamon cheaper. Spices are always so expensive
I've also ordered candy and cookies from Amazon but you have to know your prices to know if you're getting a good deal.

Yeah, I agree, you have to know how much the items cost in general to find out if you are getting a bargain

@Marilynda1225 If you can find one close to you, it might be worth it to stock up at Sharp Shopper that place I told you about, also Aldi and Lidl have good soup prices.

The shipping we get from Prime is a lot less than running around using up gas...I order some spices, have ordered different things I find on sale there that I use often. I check the coupon section on Amazon, and the warehouse sale section. Bought laundry soap, some cleaning products, flours, hard to find ingredients, organic soups for my neighbor, vitamins, and on and on....when a person has to drive a lot of miles to hunt for items they want to find, Amazon can really save money--at least it does for me.

They truly do. And a huge selection of vitamins to choose from, as well as supplements if people are looking for them.

I ordered groceries for curbside pick up at a grocery store early on in the pandemic.
I did not do it often, only during February and March of 2020, after that I returned to shop in person.
I don't shop on Amazon if I can help it, for some things that I cannot get elsewhere I will order from there but I am only ordering a couple of times a year like I did before the pandemic. I like or order essential oils from them to use on the dryer balls, otherwise I manage to do pretty good at getting what we need for as reasonable a price as I can.

@snowy22315 I wish that I could say that, but I do not go to many different places, still because of covid.
I do have an app on my phones with the various flyers and if I see something at a good price then I will go to that place to pick it up. I love that app, I check it twice a week and it takes the guess work out of who has what on sale, especially now that there are only 2 flyers that come in the mail, everything is done online.

I seldom buy online because supermarket and wet market are just a few minutes walk from my place. I buy online when there is a promotion. I buy milk, canned food and rice because they are heavy and it's good that the store deliver them to my place.
