My Thoughts on Exercising

I used to mountain bike on the greenbelt daily. I went about 8 miles one way. That's 16 miles per day. That was back in the '80s. Back in 2010 I left the apartment and visited a friend in a nearby city. Stayed there for 3 months and went to the gym every day. I even had a trainer during that time. I lost next to nothing weight-wise. Felt no different mood-wise either.
I just do not feel that exercise does me that much good. I don't anymore. I get up and move around but I don't exercise for exercise's sake. I'm not into sweating or needing to feel as if I have done some strenuous. I don't think I will live any longer either way.

I don't exercise either, I do walk all over my apartment and out onto my front porch, I think with time I will include some short walks in my days,

I could never "exercise" in the traditional sense - I found it kinda boring. I did get into figure skating and dancing in my mid 20s - and for a decade . . . probably my most fittest time. I don't skate now, but I do dance in the livingroom - and stretching/yoga too. Doing so serves as a stress reliever and I sure could use the toning here and there. But it does help manage some aches and pains that I assume are due to age .

I used to enjoy long walk or mountain bike rides on the greenbelt. In the fresh air is so nice.

My walking exercise is now my way of life after I retired from my job 5 years ago. 30 minutes early in the morning and 30 minutes late in the afternoon.

As long as you're active enough to where it doesn't negatively affect your health, you should just do you.

Exercise has been keeping me mobile. Years ago, I was told I'd most likely be in a wheel chair by the age of 42 or so. I'm 63 and still walking though carefully lately. I don't sweat or raise my heart rate up too much. When I do, my pacemaker kicks it back down so I just be careful. I like how I feel after. It's the motivation to do it I work on.

even so, at least balanced by eating healthy foods can help refresh the body, the important thing is to be able to enjoy life
