The last three months have been tough. I have had never ending nausea. I am definitely NOT pregnant, but despite a couple of doctor appointments, no one can help me. The first nausea medicine, promethazine, didn't work. The second kind worked okay, but it's really getting to me. A month ago the nausea got so bad I couldn't keep anything down, not even water. I have tried everything I can think of, what can you suggest? The only saving grace is that there aren't any migraines attached to the nausea. Usually, when I have nausea, it's because of a migraine.

I'm so sorry about what you're going through right now. Still feeling nauseated? Are you getting enough rest? Have you been hydrating to replenish what you have been throwing out of your sysyem? What's the latest findings regarding your doctor's visit? I do hope and pray you get well and heal very soon.

@AmbiePam Sometimes sipping Gatorade helps with nausea. Another hydration trick is to make jello water--basically double diluted gelatin. On both of these beverages or any thing else you attempt to drink avoid red colored beverages as the color is confusing in tests, it sometimes gives the appearance of blood.

I seem to be getting enough rest, and I'm constantly drinking water. I think despite everything I am only a little dehydrated right now. I go back to my doctor tomorrow, and I'll see if she wants me to try a specialist.

I agree with @SonjaRae. You don't need new nausea meds, you need to find out why you're having such a problem with it. So many illnesses come with nausea.

How awful for you. All I can suggest is get a doctor to diagnose you. Many things can cause nausea.

My first suggestion is that you see another doctor.Or at least get further tests. Often the test for this is an endoscopy, so they can see what is wrong. Possibly accompanied by a colonoscopy.l would say some soothing things are ginger ale, or ginger tea or even candied ginger, but those things are not cures. Keep us posted.

I remember years and years ago I had an endoscopy, and it turned out to be ulcers. But back then I was on a terribly high dose of ibuprofen.

@AmbiePam It still could be ulcers, or ulcers again. H.Pylori bacteria cause ulcers and the most recent treatment often involves not just acid blockers but antibiotics.

That used to be my go to thing, and it almost always worked. Thankfully, in the time since I wrote this discussion the nausea disappeared. It hung around for months, but just (thankfully) petered off.

@AmbiePam I am so sorry you've not been doing well. I am sad that there is nothing the doctors can do for you. Are they taking any blood from you to test you for anything? The best I can suggest is taking notice of what you're eating and drinking. And taking note of anything in your life that's causing you stress. But, I really wish I had something better to say and suggest. It's very hard to know at this point. I wonder if this could help you in any way. I use this sometimes. You just answer the questions and at the end it can suggest what could be wrong. But don't use it as a definite answer. It's just medical suggestions and advice. Wishing you all the best!

You can get your bilirubin tested. Something might be wrong with the liver. Take coconut water.

@AmbiePam Then there's lot of possibility of your getting some liver trouble once again. So guard your liver. Take less oil and lots of fruit juice.

You need to get to the root of your problem. I had horrible nausea for 30 years until a doctor diagnosed me with IBS-C. I have been nausea free ever since. I hope you keep looking for a solution until you find it.
