Today is the kiddos first day of class. The little girl doesn't look happy. She's Kinder 1 Charles Grade 7 and Patrick Grade 5. It seems just yesterday they were at home with me. They're stress reliever. All we do at home is check their activities in their new home and in school. Their classes are blended . One week online learning then the next week face to face classes. The kiddos prefer online classes especially Charles. They enrolled in Lourdes College. It's near where they live. The kids like in the other school named Georgia University, but the entrance fees and books of the 3 of them almost 190, 000 pesos so expensive, so their dad chose Lourdes College. They paid the entrance and books at 125 , 000. The 3 of them will have 17,000 monthly tuition. There's public school with free tuition but they don't like for there are 75 students in one section. Education is expensive this time. Agree or not? Image shown the 3 kiddos first day online class.

@brokenbee, that's tuition in private school elementary level. I graduated my high school in Central Mindanao University Malaybalay City. It's too cold there hehe. Kids this time prefer private schools despite expensive because of the facilities. Rooms air-conditioned.

I was going to say that Baby Shanes does not look happy. Mandatory classes are free here and in most European countries. People have to pay for College and University.

@LadyDuck, there are free classes here run by DepEd but the kiddos like to enrol in a private school. There are only 17 of them in class, in public 75 to 80

@cacay1 I went to a private school, because my Dad wanted that I go in an all girls school, we were 18 in the class. My brother went to a public school and the maximum number allowed was 28, they were 25, not bad.

@LadyDuck, 25 is good enough. There will be no distancing in the public schools here.,, class too crowded.

Although private schools are pricey, they do offer higher-quality education because they give students the best resources for learning. On the other hand, public schools might be good, but because they are free and rely on government money, the facilities and the school itself suffer when providing the level of instruction, the student requires. Additionally, because so many people opt to send their children there, the school will become overcrowded, which lowers the quality of instruction because students are forced to learn in small spaces that may no longer be conducive to learning.

@cacay1 That is something we have to face. Private schools are also opting to have higher tuition because they were not earning that big the past years too.

@rsa101, very well said. Family incomes this pandemic isn't enough to send their kids to private schools. Overcrowded class rooms affect the learning ability of the children. Others graduate half baked.

@rsa101, so true and there are 10 private schools foreclosed, only very few students enrolled. CHED can't back up them.

There were around 20 of us in our class back then and we were already crowding the room, how much more 75... School is costly. Even if the tuition is lower, let's say, but some teachers will rack you up with projects and other things.

I still think that it is better for children to have normal class. Besides study, they still need to learn how to communicate and get on well with others and make friends.

@Kandae11 yes kiddos are big niw. Charles age 12 last May birthday and height 5'5" he's so tall. His dad only 5:5 so with his mom. Private schools here are expensive. In Georgia University where kids like to enrol monthly tuition at 10,000 pesos per head so their parents blackout too much.
