Substitute teaching already scheduled!

As I told you, I retired from July 1. I put my name on the substitute list at school, so I can go in and see the kids, and earn a little money, and help out the school. (It's really hard to find substitutes for music classes!) Anyway, school hasn't even started yet and I got a request for some music classes in October!
My next project is contacting my flute students that I didn't teach during the summer, and getting their lesson schedules down. I will be so happy to have a schedule every day again!
I have trouble being on "vacation" because there is no real motivation to do anything. How do you deal with non-scheduled weeks?

Mostly, I spend a lot of time on myLot talking with friends. I've been basically on "vacation" since January 2020. I do still accept manuscripts for editing, but only get one about once a week and finish it within two days of getting it. *shrug* It gives me some income, at least.

@petatonicsca Yeah, sort of... I've edited manuscripts for several years but it's my only income right now.

Likely working at home cleaning up the bedroom since there is the need to clean up the dirt and food crumbs on the floor and doing cleaning work on clothing.

I am very bad at housecleaning. One reason I work is maybe to avoid doing it! Just kidding, but still...

That's good news you won't stay idle after retiring. I'm sure you feel bored. You have a very good talent in music You can do lots of tutorial.

I try to set myself small tasks to accomplish each day so that I'm not such fiddling around and being totally unproductive. I'm sure your days will fill up soon.

I'm semi-retired. Have some freelance work to do. Otherwise, I read books and play musical instruments.
