Today it is all about couples . It doesn't matter what age, race, color, married or unmarried, whether human or from the animal kingdom - today is your day .
Every year on August 18, National Couples Day is celebrated to mark " that special bond between couples and the beauty of their relationship."
Are you currently in a beautiful relationship?
How do you keep the fires burning? Any special plans for today?
What are some of the negatives and positives about being a couple?
Anyone prefers the single life to being a couple?

I read on line a reply to the question of how did this couple have such a long marriage and the reply was, "We didn't hate each other on the same day."
I've been married 56 years and that sums it up as well as anything! Really, we'd each one give our lives in a heartbeat for the other, but some days are "difficult."

@Kandae11 We were so young when we married..18 and 20. We even separated for a year one time, but God changed our lives and helped put our marriage back together. We still have issues, but wouldn't want anyone else.

Aww how sweet! I didn't know there was a National Couples Day--I am still very much in love with my husband. This year will be 25 years of marriage--I am fortunate I think

Yes I’m currently in a relationship with my husband if 12.5 years. This question is a good question one I see every now and again. Nothing special today it’s not a day we celebrate like we would our wedding anniversary that’s the only we celebrate as a couple.
How do feel the burn in the relationship is to try things out together weather that is in the bedroom our out of the bedroom. It doesn’t even need to be bedroom related. Going on a date the two of you like axe throwing or skein thing that you wouldn’t normal for together. As many people know my husband and I are Poly, so for our burn is usually something we haven’t done in the bedroom yet or play with others as a group. I also tell people the key to any relationship is talking.

What a wonderful post I love the idea of national couples day.
For me, I feel like it is that every single day, and has been for almost 35 years now.
I know that not everyone feels that way so many years later, but we both do.
This weekend we will visit our son and his wife who are almost married 5 years.

@Kandae11 Thank you, the time flies for the years married just as it does for anything in life.
I will never forget our son's wedding, it was the same year as our 30th anniversary. Down the road we may throw a party for both of us to celebrate, once this pandemic is overwith.

I am definitely currently in a beautiful relationship with my husband. I would say that it's not so much keeping the fires burning as it is keeping the embers tended to, LOL! And I most definitely prefer being a couple to the single life (just my experience with it)!

Today is a normal Thursday. Although I had conversations with my husband when he got to work because some strangers claiming to be from legacy, showed up on my door. They were raising major red flags. But we got it sorted out. I think.

@Kandae11 It's good to remember couples in love and unifying bond as a national celebration. I don't think we have it here in Australia.
