This bird known as Greater Coucal is a loner. They suddenly make their appearance and mostly when they can spot or I could say 'smell; some reptile - mostly babies. Their chirp does not make me happy as their appearance means there are reptiles around. In a way may be that makes us alert. These birds no doubt look beautiful and the way it is enjoying the sun prompted me to take this photo

I was at one of our job sites yesterday and came across birds that would much rather run than fly away from the big machinery. Our best guess was they are one of the birds that nest on the ground which is why they don't fly a lot.

Looks like it is waiting for its first reptile catch. Where there are baby reptiles, the mother should be somewhere around. - highly possible Ha, just trying to scare you.
