The Man on the Beach

Have you ever noticed that you spend more time looking for negatives each day that you miss the little positives that are all around you. It happened to me just a week ago while on vacation. We had stopped at a beach to let me walk off my aching back. As we walked I noticed this little old man (I think that he was old) seated on a lawn chair at the edge of the water blowing bubbles. These were not your typical tiny bubbles that children blew. These were massive. I walked right on by to the other end of the beach without a second glance. If I had been a little smarter, I could have walked over to where the man was quietly seated and enjoyed the show as I stretched. I don't think that he would have minded even a little bit. :(

Those huge bubbles are very impressive. We saw them in Salzburg but it wasn't a little old man blowing them.

@Hate2Iron I don't know how it's done. Maybe just a stronger solution perhaps.

A small thing such as blowing bubbles can lift our spirits.

We miss out on some of the best things in life for the silliest reasons.

@hate2iron I wonder were the bubbles a sign of happiness or senility?

I'm hoping that they were a sign of happiness. It was a beautiful day and the park was packed!

I highly doubt it. But you're right, staying positive can be hard.

The first two lines of your post don't apply to me. What is your problem? Why didn't you stop and exchange some words with the man?
