Buckeye Butterfly Trapped in Screen Room

Both cats were trying to get to this beautiful Buckeye butterfly. He somehow got trapped inside the screen room. Probably when I opened the door.
I never even noticed him but the cats sure did. They were trying their best to capture this beauty with their paws. Thankfully they were unsuccessful.
I went in with my handy little butterfly net and released him in the garden. There are many blooms left there for him to enjoy.
A nice quiet day in the neighborhood here today. Still waiting on more thunderstorms soon. Hope your day has been good.
Photo is mine.

I am glad you got him before the cats did! How are you feeling these days?

I had to be quick. I was feeling better and overdid it today with a few projects. I get so mad at myself. When I start feeling better I just do more and it gets me every time. I have an appointment soon. We will see how I am. Thanks for asking.

He is a beauty isn't he! I got him just in time. So pretty in the garden. Quiet for sure. And I was doing good. Then started doing a few things around the house. And maybe overdid it. We will find out at my next appointment. Thanks for asking.

@CarolDM Welcome Carol. Yes pacing yourself is so hard to do isn't it? I know myself.

Thankfully you rescued that pretty butterfly before he became a snack for the cats
We had lots of rain yesterday and a little more today but we needed it. Hope you didn't get any bad storms there

Pretty butterfly! Never heard of a buckeye butterfly. Attending Ohio State this is the only buckeye I'm familiar with.

My hubby would have envied you for having a magnificent Buckeye butterfly in your house for a visit.
Magnificent capture, Carol!
Tuesday: Two adult sons came by for lunch. One will head back to his rental house in Melbourne.
