So Was I BORN a Mutant or did I have the Mutation TRAINED into Me? (the DEC2 mutation)

BRIGHT SIDE tells us a few interesting facts about the body; including 'that the DEC2 gene mutation allows some people to sleep just a few hours a night & still feel great---never sleeping in.'
I'll regularly wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning (having been in bed since 10 the night before, falling asleep at about midnight (watching TV until then); and having taken a nap or two the day before (always in the late afternoon, sometimes also in the late morning)).
Now granted, I probably 'trained it into my body' by waking up early with an alarm-clock through most of grade-school & going on afterwards. But I suppose I never really liked 'staying in bed much past sunrise' ... I might even remember feeling like my parents wouldn't LET me get out of bed as early as I wanted to most mornings (and that's AFTER I 'graduated' from the prison-bar crib.'

I wish I had that few hours a night gene..I do seem to sleep less than the average though.
I too want to be up and around even before sunrise.

There might be 'contributing factors' from "what time I eat" & "whether I take a nap that day."
