I ordered fried momos for dinner today. I know to make this dish but it takes lots of time therefore I ordered them. I learned this dish from my sister-in-law who is from Nepal. In India the people of the North East make momos with different stuffing. I like the stuffings of cabbage and chicken.
My dinner today was fried chicken momos. The chilly chutney was tasty but very hot. I therefore took a little with it.
Do you get momos in your country?

It's prepared from white flour dough and minced chicken or vegetables. They are either steamed or fried. In the North East and Nepal they use pork and beef as stuffings.

Momo is a dish from Nepal. They are available even in India. It's vegetables or minced meat stuffed into small balls of white flour dough and then, either steamed, baked or fried.

I was in Nepal with my husband years ago. I was there to organize a conference for my office.
We had an invite at a Nepalese household and there all these guys who came for the conference had a momo eating contest (lol) they were steamed and not fried.

It's mostly steamed one that can be eaten in a large quantity, the baked ones to some extent and the fried ones the least.

I like the fried ones. I like the steamed ones prepared by me at home because the steamed stuffings are not prepared by the restaurants well.

It the white flour dough stuffed with minced chicken and spices and then fried. It's very tasty with mint or chilly chutney or mayonnaise.

When I get Indian food here, I get curries. I try not to eat too much naan, so I can have room left for the various dishes. I love creamed spinach with lamb. I enjoy all of the chutneys. I don't know what to call them, but my favorites are red, green, and white (probably yogurt-based).

It's white flour dough made into small balls and then stuffed with vegetable shreds or minced meat like chicken, pork or beef. The momos are then steamed baked or fried.
