You've been to the pool?

Young housecleaner appeared surprised that I didn't stay longer at the gym pool. I limit my water exercise to 35 minutes tops each time. I do this twice a week at this point. I can feel how weak my left leg is. It refuses to move freely like the right one plus the pain in the joints reminds me to go easy. I worked a little on balancing today. I can't stand for long on one leg but each time I give it a go, I work my leg muscles. Simple things like that make a difference and could keep me from falling. The water was so grandly warm this morning! Warmth really feels good. My joints would seize up in cold water. I am grateful that there is a pool to use. Day after tomorrow I will go back.

Swimming is good exercise . It’s also good to exercise in the water because it takes the weight off your feet. I walk a lot but I’ve slacked off going to the gym. I need to get myself started again.

Pretty and I haven't been swimming since before the pandemic began. We don't go to a pool but to the lake that's about 35 minutes from our house. When we did go swimming, we'd take inflatable toys, swim for a little bit first and then climb on the toys and paddle around. Even so, unless there was someone else with us, we were ready to leave after about an hour there.

@sallypup We used to go at night after I got off work. We'd take glow bracelets to wear so we could find each other in the dark and boats wouldn't run us over. It was a lot of fun.

@DaddyEvil You have a delightful relationship with your daughter. Reminds me of my hubby and my daughter.

There aren't any swimmin holes around here so I don't get to go swimmin. I used to love to go swimmin.

Oh hell no. The dust round here has mites in it at times. Deserts have teeny kritters in it that many people have no clue about.

@rebelann Blech. I forget what my daughter called it when she first landed in Tucson and literally lived in a tent. Some wind bringing disease. She thinks it killed her cat.

Exercising in the warm water would be very good for you. I have trouble standing on one leg now.

@JudyEv My suggestion is to have a wall or very sturdy chair handy and practice. Even a second at a time.

the pool its a great place to exercise? When you dont feel your weight of your body in the water is easier to work on the muscles. keep on going!

I haven't been to a pool for years. I went to the YMCA for a while back in 2011 but don't go anymore. I have been doing some bicycle-type exercises when I think of it. I have seen it has helped my hip and knees both. Enjoy! Consistency is key.

The pool feels so good when it's warm. Next week I plan to do a smaller work out in the gym and go to the pool after. I hope it helps you with the weakness and pain.

I have always heard that water is a great healer. I am happy you have a pool close to you.
