Do you like popcorn, and what method do you use to prepare it? I generally will buy microwave popcorn, but lately have just been making popcorn kernels in the microwave. It is really so much cheaper, and you can make it in a paper bag, so it is very simple to make and probably more eco friendly as well. However, I just opened a box of microwave popcorn that was super cheap on Amazon, and it is the 100 calorie bags I like. I do like the portion controlled calorie controlled microwave varieties. How do you make your popcorn? Do you just eat it ready popped? Do tell..

There is a grocery store here that has the most delicious ready popped popcorn. They make it with coocnut oil, and tastes just like what you would buy at movies for 10x more.

@LadyDuck I would say here it is kind of the snack of the masses. Right up there with chips, although some prefer pcorn as it isn't quite as caloric.

@snowy22315 The popcorn sold in bags is extremely cheap here and the ingredients used good. I suppose that not being very popular in Europe is cheap because there is little demand.

No, I don't eat popcorn but Pretty does. She buys the microwavable popcorn from Walmart. (Popcorn smells good but it doesn't taste as good as it smells.)

The microwave type isn't bad. I usually use the Parlay spray on it

@snowy22315 I hope you meant "parkay" because parlay is an herbicide. But, of course, I don't know, it might taste good.

What kind of popcorn maker do you have? Is it a whirly pop or what? Hot air popper?

@snowy22315 Hot air popper. Bought it at WalMart when Mike retired (2014) for under $10. Not sure what it would cost today.

That sounds more like a side dish. Do you eat it with a utensil?

It is good. If you like kettle corn, very easy to make that in a paper bag I was never happy with the flavor of air popped popcorn

I do like microwave popcorn and prefer Orville Redenbacher. It's worth the price and I get less hulls. But I've also popped kernels in a microwave popcorn thingee that my daughter got and it works really well. Popcorn is a good snack whether I pop it myself or buy it already popped. White cheddar is my favorite for already popped

I usually buy microwave popcorn. My uncle had a popcorn machine, but he never used it. We are getting rid of it.

So easy to make..I know some people use that whirly pop thing they swear by. I used to have an air popper. I think that is packed away in a storage locker.

I buy the bag popcorn they you have to pop in the microwave. I usually eat some food it or all of. When the kids want some they spit a bag between each other.
