Want to try empanada again

I'm running out of ideas of what we need to sell or services we have in our store. Our document printing is flop because someone copy our business already. We try pasalubong it is also flop as not many buy it. We try selling buko or coconut juice and it is a flop again. It also sell the first day but now very few buy. I tried tutorial and is also a flop because I just have one and it is not sure if they will continue. I tried laminating business and is also flop. I feel disappointed at the end of the day because all is flop, flop, flop. Then I think why not try empanada again. I know how hard it is to make and how costly the ingredients but I know this is a food that people easily like. I already have experience making it I just need to master it and make adjustment so I can sell it. Now the foot traffic is much better and more people are out in the street now is the time to try if it will be a hit for the public. I just need $10 or 500 pesos and I can make a small batch with it and practice until I perfect my empanada. Do you think empanada will click? We are along the road and near schools and malls.

How about lumpia, kwek2, and other simple fried foods? School supplies? I can think of a lot of things to sell if my pwesto is near a school

@MrDenata yes, that looks like our lumpia, although there are many kinds of stuffing we use like veggies, ground pork

Just like the first response, we call it Pastel and I may not really like the food, I prefer Risol or other kind of fritters, whether in your country what it's called.

@MrDenata Risol can be combined with anything, similar to Pastel but oval in shape with a sprinkle of breadcrumbs on the skin.

Hard for me to tell you if this will be successful, as we do not eat empanadas here.

@LadyDuck I see here it is something that people crave. The only problem is it can be quite hard to make

I think I recall our dear belated JustBhem on here used to love Buko. I have never had an empanada but my daughters Spanish teacher made them once and she liked them. I am sorry to hear the food isn’t selling well. I hope if you do decide to make empanadas that you do well selling them. It must be hard to own a shop and worry like that.

It looks like what is called a patty in my country. The filling could be beef, chicken, veggies, shrimp etc , it is very popular. I think you should try the empanada.
