Where did I catch it???

Friends. Two days ago I started feeling not my best.
But last night it was awful. I had a runny nose (very runny) and such a big bronchitis that I had to sit in my bed to cough and get everything out of my system.
I called Claudia and she said that she had other plans so why didn´t I call a service called HELP (I knew that it wasn´t very good but my daughters signed me there when I was at the hospital).
As I supposed, the service did not do a PCR or any exam. I could talk with a doctor though. And what I wanted was to know if I had just a flu or cold or if I had the covid.
Claudia came against her wishes (she saw no reason to do the test) but this is when I insist. After all, she lives near me.
She brought an antigen test (the drugstore did not have the PCR) and I´m covid positive.
Leticia had come to visit me when I called her crying in the morning that Claudia was a beast. We went to the drugstore to get my inexpensive meds for my knees and I had thawed salmon so we ate a good meal.
Tonight, after the test, I called her to stay away from her family. And to tell Anita not to come this week.
I will also cancel my appointments with the dentist and my therapy. I hope I can survive with the 4 covid vaccines I have.
I bet those Uber with no masks are what got me into this mess. There´s no other place else where I could have caught it.
I feel better than yesterday. Let us hope that I get well soon.

@marguicha Oh, I'm sorry. For some reason I thought you'd had it before.
Since you have all your shots, it should be a very mild case...

@DaddyEvil I had an awful stomach problem that ended with me at the hospital for a week. As for this covid, for me it has been like a BIG flu. I am worried about the lack of defences I have had since I had the chemotherapy. That does not help. But I don´t think that that will mean ending up in the hospital again. I´ll rest and drink lots of water.

Take your medications 3x a day, take anti biotics, you will get better. Drink lots of water sleep and eat bkand food. No spicy, no fried, cough up the phelgm as much as you can. I had covid for 14 days and it was horrible. I got mine from supplier who did not wear mask

I am drinking lots of water. I don´t usually eat fried food lately. Last night, the phlegm kept me awake. But I sat up to cough it out as much as I could. I´m using toilette paper as handkerchiefs and old cotton handkies for the runny nose. Now that I feel better, I put plenty of vaseline on my nose as it is sore.

I am so sorry. I know I have been fortunate so far not to get Covid. It's an elusive virus. My best friend insisted on going on one of those fancy bus tours recently, of course no one wore a mask. She came down terribly sick the day after she got home, and so did the sister in law she traveled with, and many other people on the trip. I continue to wear my mask. I don't want to, but I do, I am trying to stay well and trying to keep my son well, too, which isn't easy.
Rest all you can, I hope you improve quickly!

I have been using masks all the time. But now masks are not mandatory here and I have been driving in Uber for some time.

@marguicha People here have mostly stopped being cautious, so it is difficult to stay safe.

Wear a mask to go out. I was ill for at least 2 weeks and the first week I had an awful bronchitis in spite of the vaccines.

@nela13 I had a severe bronchitis the first week. Mostly I was in bed the next week because I live alone and had not much to do. I got up to cook, wash my clothes and take care of Luna and water the plants of my containers. It is basically what I would do any day.

When Bob and I had it it was very mild. We were told it was because we were well vaccinated. I hope it is the same for you. He is in hospital now for something else, but tests positive for covid, although he has no symptoms. It is a crazy world.

Vaccines should actually make one safe but that is not how these vaccines work .
Inhaling steam in which vicks is added is good for bronchitis.

I am prone to bronchitis because I smoked for many years. But it is over now.
