How I spent my weekend 10/14/22 - 10-16-22

Friday I had to get groceries and cake for my sons upcoming birthday. My son had an away game after school.
Saturday my stepson, my husband and the male beagles went to/hosted a youth pheasant hunt. They got home around 1. I ran to town to grab a few things. After I got back my husband took his female beagles out hunting and then went to his friends to grab his fishing tent and they just so happened to be having a Halloween party so he stayed for two hours. He got home at 9:30pm.
My sons guitar strings broke and he was hoping to get new ones before his birthday. I wanted to get some tips for the new drum sticks I bought him to go with his roto Tom drum set for his birthday. So I drove up to guitar center yesterday (Sunday).
At 3:30 my nephew had his last football game and I wanted to attend one.
I had time to kill between guitar center and the game so the baby and I did some geocaching.
She had a great time. Giggling as I’d take her photos with the geocaches. She touched the bark of a tree. She touched a leaf that had more prickly edges (kind of like a holly leaf) and she shook with chills lol. She’s getting braver. A few months ago she would scream and cry if she got near a leaf on a tree.
I got to my nephew game a half hour late unfortunately. The game started early so some weird reason so by the time I sat down it was probably less then 15 minutes and it was over and I only saw my nephew in play for a few minutes. I’m horrible with sports I don’t understand why everyone was yelling and what the heck was going on.

@RubyHawk it’s getting so cold out here I’m glad the games are about all done. My sons last home game is this weekend. He has one more away game the following week. His hands are so cold while playing the base and guitar during the games.

@Kandae11 that’s very true track and field is obvious what is going on.
My nephew never saw me as far as I know. He was on the field and I didn’t see him when he came out. He went right to their car after changing and I was parked in a totally different lot.

That's a lot of stuff you and your family did in the week end Wonder why your little girl reacted the way she did when she touched a leaf, earlier. Glad she is now OK

@allknowing I’m not sure why she was scared of them but she has been for about 6 months. She’s getting better about it though.

. I bought him two packages so he has a spare now. I think he was hoping to play while his best friend was here for his birthday today but she is grounded and can’t come. He just texted me

cool picture. My weekend was full of soreness. Thursday I went to the doctor to have my blood drawn and I told them to go ahead and give me the flu shot too. My arm was sore until Sunday. Sunday my mother and I went to get the updated covid shot. Yesterday I had a headache all day and my mother had a fever. Today we feel better, but my mother's arm is still sore.

@Jessy3236 oh goodness ouch. I would have spaces the shots a week apart or more preferably a month. I need to get a flu shot soon. I’m glad your feeling better now and hope your moms arm will stop being sore soon.
