Tennessee Halloween Tractor Decoration

@CarolDM My Dad had a Super A tractor. It was super small, and he only used it to side dress the tomatoes. It did not have a cab, but my Grandpa insisted that my Dad buy an umbrella, so that he was saved from the hot sun's rays. At one point he had 2 of those little fellas, which is what he referred to it as. When my Grandpa stopped working the land, he would take the little fella and drive to the path which divided the 200 acres across from the homeplace, and he would 'crop tour' on it. I cannot imagine how much a nearly blind man could see on such a crop tour, but it kept him occupied. Sadly he accidentally hit a neighbour passing by with the tractor, both were going very slowly, but it was apparent that my Dad had to tell his Dad that he could no longer drive the tractors. It was such a very sad time. But Grandpa found some white paint, and a hockey stick out in the workshop that had the blade broken off of it and he painted it white and would walk the same path with that. I suppose it was his way of throwing up the white flag and surrendering.

I thought is was cool too. Even though it is not the team I enjoy but it fits the colors in his yard. Lots of Tennessee football fans here. Reminds me of my Grandpa's old tractor every time I see it. Not sure of the brand, I will look the next time.

@Juliaacv Such vivid memories you have. That is sad when they realize they can't drive any more. Bless him. Such a hard working and a good man without a doubt.

@CarolDM We had another nice day. I sat in a my car to read a book, with the windows down!

I thought it was awesome. He is always decorating his tractor. So cool. Sounds great, getting out can be good for us. Especially in nice weather.

That is the fall colors at their peak. My favorite of all the season.

I used to love riding with my Grandpa. So much fun when he wasn’t busy farming.

@LadyDuck Thanks, my iPhone is really fast and on the back roads we are not going very fast, so that helps. I love the fall season.

Yes I much prefer this type of decoration to others. He did good.

Yes we always had hay bales too. And I see some of those around. This one got my attention because of all the fall leaves around it. I would love to see photos.

@sol_cee I don't usual pay attention to Christmas. A painful holiday, so I skip over it.

I thought it was pretty cute too. The lights are cool at night at Christmas.

@CarolDM It did look a little strange which left me wondering. A handy skeleton driving a tractor is more my idea of halloween!

@Ronrybs Many have used skeletons for decorations this year. I am glad he didn't. I prefer this much better than the others.

It is a mannequin he uses for decoration.
