Lemons from my little plant

Just harvested some very fresh and juicy lemons from my little plant today. I always wanted a lemon plant on my terrace garden. I planted this last year and it took almost more than a year to yield lemons and this year I almost have 30-40 lemons from single harvest. I think now it will start giving fruits after sometime in next season. I truly loved how juicy they are and smells amazing. I do not spray any chemical pesticides or fertilisers so what you see is totally organic lemons here. I had planted the tree with hopes of breeding some butterflies but the pigeons are killing the larvae’s. But I got fruits this year and I hope butterflies come soon. This is the picture of lemons from my plant right behind. So do you have your own vegetable and flower garden too? What have you planted this year?

Those look like limes. Do they still need to ripen for a vibrant yellow color?

@just4him when they're ripe, their color turns yellow. It's cold lemonade in my location.

Oh yes they ripe to yellow and become very juicy. What I do is I pluck while they r green but big and then keep them out on table in a colander and they turn yellow and ripe.

I have no talent for planting. But I'm jealous of the lemons you planted. How can it be that the lemon only has two seeds. While the lemons that I always buy at the market, always have a lot of seeds. Any suggestions?

The variety I got is a seedless lemon which has very few or no seeds and the lemons grow all 12 months

That's so nice your lemons grow so well. As I guess it is not easy to take good care of them as these plants often have worms? Here not many people can have a garden. Usually we just have a little balcony. So we are unable to grow our own vegetables and flowers very well.

The plant always gets caterpillars of Mormon butterflies I keep them and let them feed on my tender lemon leaves until they become butterflies and fly away. They never harmed my plant. It has grown well and I also get bees when the flowers are blooming, like lots and lots of bees. Two varieties of bees keep hovering here. Where I live, we also don’t have much space I am lucky to get a terrace where I rent currently it’s a common terrace but no one comes

Bonsai lemon sounds very cool! Have you grown it, or bought it along with the pot?

I would love to have a lemon tree in my yard. I stopped buying lemons in my country , they are now way too expensive.

Your plant looks very healthy. No veggies here. My neighbor shares his tomatoes during the summer. All gone for now.

It’s really fun to grow something of your own which you can share with nature and enjoy for yourself too. Ya love when I see bees and butterflies living on my plants it gives me immense pleasure seeing that what I planted is also beneficial for someone else
