Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween my dear myLotter friends! :-) Am just dropping by to let you know I'm still alive :-D Solving a land dispute single handedlly can be the toughest, precarious and most convoluted on-going challenge I have ever experienced in my entire 48-years of existence. I had gone through the process of applying legal remedies. But still, administering land estate can turn into a complicated and ugly mess if you let your guard down. I MUST ALWAYS DOUBLE OR TRIPLE MY VIGILANCE, not only against unscrupulous "buyers" but also with "blood sucking" and backstabbing relatives of mine. So true the saying goes "money is the root of all evil"! Human GREED knows no limits!

Hello, glad to see you around. Do not tell me about "blood sucking" and backstabbing relatives, I had the experience when I inherited from Mom and we had to sell her apartment.

@sol_cee I was not interested in keeping the apartment. As I have a brother, I inherited the 50% of the apartment, the other 50% was property of my brother and I had no intention to share an apartment (and all the expenses and problems) with him, I also did not want to have the problem to make a tax declaration and to pay taxes in Italy. I wanted to sell the apartment as soon as I could.

Why did you have to sell it? It’s your inheritance

Well, actually it is greed for money that is the root of all evil. Money is just a tool for either good or bad it all depends on the intention of the holder. Money is either good or evil. It simply follows what the holder wants it to be.

Thank you so much. Normally, civil cases takes several years here in the Philippines but as long as the property is in our possession for more than ten (10) years or more with GOOD FAITH, we are on the winning side :-)

Relatives can be the worst people. There are several of mine that I stay as far away from as possible. I'm happy to see you on myLot. I had been wondering how you were doing lately. I hope you enjoyed your Halloween.

@DaddyEvil I agree and you discover how they really are only when money is involved.

That should be : - The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Sorry you had to go through that. Presently a distant family member of mine is in a court battle with his aunt over land.

I compare money to fire. If used well money is truly an asset. And I find it to be so in my life.

Land dispute? We have a case in court about our farmland that was sold by someone without our consent and get the money for her.

Thank you po. Luckily, we had a highly competent lawyer, he is now retired. I am hiring new private lady lawyers.

You miss it what the Bible says. You can read it in 1 Timothy 6:10, "For the LOVE of money is the root of all of evil"
