I have to go to a baby shower this weekend. Our nephew and his fiancee are expecting their first baby, a little boy. This will be the first grandchild and first great granchild in their family so I know he is going to be spoiled. She is due on December 7th so we will have a baby just in time for Christmas. Babies are such a blessing.
They have a gift registry so that makes it a little easier to find something that they need. It has been a few years since I went baby shopping. Don't go to many baby showers these days.
Anybody else waiting for the arrival of a new baby? When was the last time you went to a baby shower? We have so many different countries represented here so do they have baby showers in your country?

@Happy2BeMe yes it is. I’m still nervous but I do enjoy seeing people in person again.

@shaggin i always feel nervous in a crowd now. Covid has changed the way we think and feel. Something we never much thought of before.

Covid changed the way we did a lot of things. It is nice to get back to getting together again instead of doing it all online.

I can't really recall how many years it's been since I last went to one. No one I know is expecting. But, I wouldn't be surprised if members of my family are still producing babies. My family firmly believe to wait until marriage. So when there's a wedding usually nine months later there's a baby.

Congratulations to you and to your family.
That is so exciting.
Our daughter-in-law and son had a baby registry before they had the twins.
We all went right by that because the supply of items was so limited a year ago, and buying 2 matching items, such as car seats or anything, was a challenge.
You will have to ask at the shower if you can, sometimes the prices of items on their registry drop as the due date approaches. Our daughter-in-law used to tell me what week certain items were lowered in price that she did not receive for gifts so that we could buy them.

I've only been to 3 babyshowers besides my own. Two were for one person, my niece and nephews mom for both of them.

Congratulations to you and your family. We don't have baby shower here. We give presents after the baby is born.

No new babies in our family, as far as I've heard. I hope you enjoy the shower and shopping for a gift.
