1 December - What I'm Thankful for Today

Today was a good day. I didn't do much, but I'm thankful for so much. First, though, let me give you the stats for this year's weight loss. As you will see, it steadily rose since April. That's also about the time the doctor told me to go on the Mediterranean Diet. Instead of losing, I gained. I'm back on the Paleo Diet that helped me lose 80 pounds. I have 30 pounds to lose to get back to 170 where I was before my knee replacement surgeries. January 1 - 193 February 1 - 191.4 March 1 - 190.4 April 1 - 190 May 1 - 193.2 June 1 - 198.6 July 1 - 191.6 August 1 - 194.4 September 1 - 199.6 October 1 - 200 November 1 - 206.2 December 1 - 205.4 As you can see, I'm down a pound since last month. I started back on the diet a couple of weeks ago, I think. With the recovery of my computer, I don't have previous information from Exel. I need to start over by recording what I eat. So, I'm thankful for the pound loss. I'm hoping to make it to 200 by Christmas. More would be nice. I'm thankful for the lazy day today. I didn't have anything I needed to do, which made it nice. Tomorrow, I will do laundry at my son's instead of here. I have a full basket, which would be two loads in the machines here. I don't want to waste that much money. I'm thankful gas prices are going down. I stopped going to my son's to do laundry because of the high gas prices. I'm thankful for an afternoon of fun playing Canasta. We were three at my table which meant no partner. I did well. I didn't win, but I came close with the second-highest score. I'm thankful for my neighbor's husband who came to help me position the antenna for the TV so I could get all the regular TV channels. I'm thankful for good food, a warm apartment on a cold day, and a bed to sleep in. I'm thankful for the time to relax my back after Canasta. The back pain is gone. Being pain-free is a blessing. Okay, that's my day. What are you thankful for today? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

You always have so much to be thankful for. I think we all do actually. Thankful for the heat tonight. Another cold one.

I'm glad you have the heat on a cold night. We're cold but not as cold as last night. We were down in the teens with wind chills making it colder.

We're done with New Year family outing. My children went back to their home and work. We're looking forward to be together again in my youngest son's birthday on June.

Sounds like a lot to be thankful for, which is great. Hopefully you can get to where you want with your weight by then. I know it is not easy

It won't be easy losing weight over the Christmas season - so much temptation during that period. However it can be motivating when one sees the downward trend. I am glad that your day was pain free too.

It was the holiday season last year when the upward trend got put in high gear. I won't let that happen this year. Thank you.
