I've just been to the little Tesco again.

Mum only had a short list today. She only wanted 1 bottle of milk because we've got plenty in. She also wanted long jam donuts (not the round ones.) She was trying to think of something I could get if I couldn't get the jam donuts but she couldn't think of the name of them.
It was bitterly cold outside. I was warm in my coat and gloves, but my poor nose was soon freezing cold! I went as fast as I could to get there and back out of the cold.
When I got there and I went to get a basket there were two tangled together with their handles and I had to untangle them!
I got 2 TV magazines, a bounty bar for my step-dad, strawberries, peaches in juice, 2 Alpen cereal with no sugar (one for me and one for my Mum), I couldn't get the jam donuts so I got a packet of 4 chocolate eclairs instead, and 1 milk. And it was a good job Mum only wanted one milk because there was only one semi-skimmed milk left.
I went and payed. It came to just over £15.
I went back out into the cold and hurried home. I told my Mum it was a good job she only wanted one milk because there was only one semi-skimmed milk left. And I told her I couldn't get the jam donuts, and I showed her the chocolate eclairs that I got instead. She said, Ooh, yes! That was what I was thinking of when I was thinking what you could get if you couldn't get the jam donuts! And I told my Mum about my freezing nose, which was still feeling cold even then!
So I put everything away and now I'm sitting resting, watching Homes Under the Hammer and Mylotting!
I hope you are all well and having a nice day.

I hope you got everything you wanted when you went grocery shopping. We are not expecting snow I don't think, but it's going to rain on Sunday and Monday apparently. I don't want to go out but we have to to get food, presents and the Christmas dinner!

@sharonelton That would be good anyway. I've always loved fur-lined hoods but you wouldn't really get the chance to wear it here.

@JudyEv Yes, it is good. But the problem is it doesn't fit snugly around the ears like a beanie would and sometimes the wind likes to blow it off!

No, I don't. I do have one but I don't wear it. Maybe I should. I was just wearing a coat with a fur lined hood.

Well, they do, with the Tesco club card! Mum had a load of money off vouchers that we used at the big Tesco last week. We had plenty of money off with those.

Yes. But even if I wore my scarf it usually goes round my neck not my nose! I'll remember that for next time.

@sharonelton Tangled basket handles annoy me. Today I completed shopping for my wife’s Christmas surprises. Also got ingredients for stew and got a jolly good freezing while I was at it. We’re supposed to have snow this afternoon but it hasn’t materialised yet - that’s the best kind of snow.

Yes, they annoy me too! I hope you get everything you wanted for your wife. I hope you enjoy your stew. Sorry you got a jolly good freezing! I know how that feels and it's not very nice. I hope we don't get snow. I don't like it!

Sunday I also got some strawberries. Yesterday I had some company and I mostly did my diamond painting most of the day.
