My friend was hit by a car

My friend Ann who lives in Massachusetts called this afternoon to tell us she was hit by a car yesterday.
Her car wasn't hit, she was crossing a street when she herself was hit. The car threw her from the back end of her car to the front!
It's absolutely the grace and mercy of God that she wasn't killed. Her daughter was watching from their front porch when it happened.
Ann was taken to the emergency room...she has abrasions, cuts on her head, probably a concussion, injured her hip and knee, and I don't know what all.
This would be a horrible thing to happen to anyone, but she's just finished two years of chemo and radiation from breast cancer, still has reconstruction to possibly go through, her cat recently bit her hand that got infected, and two people ran into two of their cars.
She just can't seem to get a break.
I think she needs to move back down here to NC!

@1creekgirl I do understand that pain, but the PTSD that she will live with now, on top of what a cancer survivor already lives with, she must be truly loved. My hubby always reminds me that those of us who have heavy crosses to bear here in this life will see the gates of heaven swing open for us to be with our Lord without hestitation or waiting come our next leg of the journey.

@Juliaacv I believe that also. Her daughter remarked that Ann was lucky and she reminded her daughter that she wasn't lucky, she was blessed.

I feel so sorry for your friend Ann, she seems to go through a very unlucky time.
I hope she is receiving the necessary attention at the hospital. The father of my husband was hit by a car (years ago), the hospital released him after a week saying there was nothing serious, but later it came out he had a lesion to his spine and he had a very hard time walking.

Oh my, that was terrible for your father in law. We told Ann to be sure her daughter was close during the night in case something wasn't seen at the hospital, especially a concussion.

@1creekgirl - You were right to tell her to have her daughter with her. It is also important that she has a scan to be 100% sure that she has no hidden problems.

The snow up there would kill you number one.
So sorry to read all this..she sure is a trooper, but yeah, even with faith in God, it sure makes you wonder why these myriad of sufferings happen.

She's in Lowell and you're right. Not even Christians escape the pain of this world. As bad as she was hurt, she joked that her blond hair was red from the gash on her head and maybe she 'd look good as a redhead. I cried when I saw her pictures.
