The foot witches are at it again.

Remember when I told y'all about how hateful the two women at my foot doctor acted when I went in without a mask? Well, they did it again. That doctor referred me to an orthopedic foot surgeon to see if I need surgery on my foot with the ruptured tendon. We made a special trip to Greenville, 40 miles away for that appointment. They were really nice, but found out the witches didn't give me my xrays to take to the surgeon. So I had to reschedule. Now I have to get the x-rays to take next month. I called the local doctor and was told I could get them in five to ten business days. How can it take that long for four stupid x-rays? And they never said a word about taking the films with me when they were the ones who made the referral. Honestly, if they give me a hard time, I don't cuss, but I might tell them exactly why I'm changing foot doctors. Just a bedtime rant, don't pay any attention to me. Sleep well, sweet dreams. PS We went to Nathan's Eagle Scout ceremony today. I'll write about it soon.

Sometimes the doctors think that we must know everything. If I did, I would be at the other side of the desk, earning a lot of money.

@1creekgirl I´m angry when that happens to me. Onne of the doctors I am seeing, just last week, told me I hadn´t told him about one of my symptoms. Why didn´t he ask?

They should have the x-rays ready to give to you. It takes less time to have them redone by the new doctor.

@1creekgirl This is insane! They have this and it is your right to get those xrays because you paid for them.

I just called their office and the woman said she doesn't think they can do that. What??!! If they won't, I'll have to pay for xrays that have already been paid for by my insurance because I doubt if the insurance company will pay a second time for the same thing. I'm about ready to explode.

It is disgusting the way these sods behave and get away with it nowadays Vicki. I am so sorry this happened to you. You are not alone in dealing with spiteful, lazy, vengeful medical staff in offices. Same here.

When I'm referred to a doctor, my doctor's office always sends the x-rays to the other doctor's office so I don't have to take anything with me. If I were you, I'd also explain why they were going to be contacted by my lawyer over their failure to do their job. The referring doctor should pay you for the time and gas you wasted making that trip. I hope you have a good night.

That is very rude of them not to tell you that you needed the xrays when you had to drive so far away. I would find another foot doctor if I were you.

I would be livid after traveling 80 miles for nothing. I would have a talk with that doctor! I hope you have a good week; and I hope you're feeling OK. Love the picture of you. It's going to be in the single digits here at the end of the week. Brrrrrr.

I really was ill about wasting expensive gas and our time. A woman from that office called me back, but Dale answered. She told him they weren't going to give me anything. He told her we've had enough with how I've been treated and she hung up on him!

@1creekgirl I would complain to someone about this. I wonder if you can complain to the medical organization of some sort.

You should have been informed right away about the xrays. They do take time to duplicate (I've done a lot of photo work through the years and duplicating negatives is one job that I don't like having to do. It's even worse than making a negative from an existing photograph. Then, too, film work is getting even more rare. With the progression of photography and digital cameras it won't be too long before using film is a thing of the past, although it's getting there quickly anyhow. I know that my reply to your rant isn't going to help you much, but I am in total agreement with what you had to say. I was told to go to a gastroenterologist about my stomach problems. I called the number that I was given and was told that they wouldn't take me without a referral. I told them that the doctor told me that he was sending the referral, but they NEVER received it. And getting another doctor isn't easy. My primary care doctor left the area and I have to wait until January to get scheduled to see a Nurse Practitioner, if I'm lucky. No telling when the clinic will get another doctor to replace the one who left. My primary care doctor, before he left, told me that he sent a referral to the gastroenterologist. But he, along with the other doctors I saw about the stomach problem, never sent the referral. It's like being told by a different Nurse Practitioner that I was to go to their clinic to provide a urine sample. That was at 3 p.m. I told her that I had to use the bus and the schedule wouldn't allow me to get down there and back in the same day, and that I didn't drive because of my broken ankle. She told me that I could go there the next day and provide the sample. I tried to explain to her about the ankle and how much pain I was in and riding the bus would be miserable. She got nasty about it and I finally told her I couldn't do it and hung up on her. Doctors and nurses and personnel don't realize that we aren't in the military, and they can't regiment and order us around like we were. We are human beings and have pain and other problems and they need to treat us like we are living, breathing, feeling people and need to be treated like we are. They would expect it if it were them. I wish there was something I could do to help you out...but unfortunately, I don't live close by. You have all my well wishes. Your picture of Nathan's Eagle Scout receipt is wonderful. It is something to be extremely proud of, as not every young man in the scouts makes it to the top like Nathan. Congratulations and tell him I am very proud of him too.
