Christmas greetings

There was a time we would go hunting for Christmas cards and prepare a list of those who would receive these cards. That was stopped and it was a digital card that was thoughtfully created by me and with just one click it would go to all who were on the list. Not any more. It is now calling up people on the phone and passing on Christmas greetings. My phone will start ringing too. I got just one Christmas card this year.

I used to send out around 25 cards every Christmas and got about that many, too. Now, I don't send any cards and received one this year. Most of my friends just send a text message wishing Pretty and I a Merry Christmas. I like texts a lot better. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

We had this tradition of visiting during Christmas time and then I would look at what cards my siblings had received - we always had them displayed - and used to feel a bit hurt if they got more than I did (lol)

@allknowing At the other house we had a big bookcase in the living room and I'd display the cards we received each year on it. After Christmas, I'd gather the cards up and put them away with the leftover cards I didn't send that year. The next year, I'd make sure and send cards to the people who sent us one first and then made out the rest of the card list and sent those out.

I do not send cards anymore, it's only 7:20 in the morning. I will start to call for the Christmas wishes after 9:30, not before.

@LadyDuck All in all you have covered every one who you have in your list. Sending a digital card is easy. Go for bcc in the mail. I did that. Some whose email address I do not have I sent them through FB messenger.

@magallon But nothing like a face to face interaction Years ago we would go visiting during the season but that is not happening these days.

I remember the days where I go to a bookstore and look for Christmas cards to send to friends and cousins. Now, what technology did was to stop that and even my card sending had stopped too.

I sent out over 30 Yule Tales this year. Folks get a story from me instead of a card.

I think that the personal touch of a phone call or an actual physical card is the best way to do it!
