A few views of our new house-sit

The image shows the house we’re now looking after. Top right is the front entrance which nobody uses. This is pretty typical with Australian farm houses. Top left is another view of the front but was supposed to show the lovely rose-covered archway over the gate. There aren’t a lot of roses at the moment and they don’t show up very well.
Lower left is a sitting area surrounded by fruit trees. It’s too hot out there now of course but it would be nice on a sunny winter’s day. If it wasn’t raining, of course.
Lower right shows the swimming pool. It has a cover over it to keep leaves and debris out and maybe it helps warm the water too. Anyway, we had a lovely swim in it yesterday and are looking forward to another one today. It will get to about 31C here which will be hot but not unpleasantly so.

It is a lovely home. We're lucky to be able to stay here for a while.

Most of our older houses have verandahs. It's very pleasant sitting there after a hot afternoon.

The archway when in bloom would sure make for a stunning view. Wonder what coloured roses they are

The roses are pink. I might try to get close-ups of them.

Thanks. It's been good so far. There is very little to do.

If you don't mind my asking, do you housesit for friends and family only or are you paid professional housesitters?

We fell into it by accident and only do it friends or friends of friends. We don't get paid. Word-of-mouth seems to be getting us more and more house-sits. There are sites you can join to be become paid housesitters but we're not really looking for more.

@Kouponkaren We take care of whatever pets are on the place but we can pick and choose of course.

I know of one site that gives you free house sits but you have to take care of their pets. I didn't know that there are paid ones. I would be interested in that at some point in the future.

Nice!
I noticed the pool cover and wondered if you got a chance to swim.

It looks very nice. I suppose again, you are in the middle of nowhere.

It's a farming property with neighbours a km or two away in most directions.

Looks nice and spacious.
I hope that you spend good time at your new house-sit.
Is it getting very hot in your place or just manageable?

Yes that is good.
The afternoon was good today with nice sunshine.
Yet early mornings and nights tend to be challenging.
The weather app is showing 13 C as of now but it feels colder.
