My sister went in to surgery on time at 10 a.m. We were told that in the best case scenario the surgery would take an hour. At 11:15 the surgeon came in to tell us that everything went as planned, so basically it did take just an hour. He said he saw no other places that looked like they needed removed. She will remain sedated and on a ventilator as she recovers. The anesthesiologist came in and gave us a report. As the surgery heals they will reduce the sedation and the amount she uses the ventilator. They are providing a liquid nutrition with a tube right now. There were nine of us and we went to a Mexican restaurant. My niece's husband was sneaky and took all the checks and paid them. I ordered Hawaiian fajitas, not knowing for sure what I was getting, it was huge! The peppers, onions, beef and chicken and pineapple chunks were served in a bowl made of a hollowed out pineapple cut in half. This was served with warm tortillas. On another plate was refried beans, rice, lettuce, pico di gailo, guacamole and sour cream. I gave Bob some of my food because he finished his. I ordered coffee--I drink it black and it was flavored with cinnamon. We were all glad to be together, and that is why I was not here at all yesterday.

I am so glad your sisters surgery went so well. That must have been one heck of a fancy restaurant, I've never heard of mexican food being served in a pinapple 'shell'

Really not so fancy, although they did have a big remodel during Covid. No prices in the menu, that was scary.

Good grief, did you ask why they didn't list prices?

Technically things went well, but she had mistreated her body for many years with smoking and other poor habits. She could not recover.

The dinner sounds wonderful and so kind of your nieces husband to pay for the whole bill. Why did your sister need surgery?

As you know by now it did not go well. She just was so fragile she could not heal.

I'm glad that your sister's surgery turned out, with a good report. The surgeon was positive, what he had found. She is now mending, very good news! I can't eat large meals, that Mexican restaurant serves big portions

Fajita orders are always enormous, aren't they! I feel like I get my money's worth out of them.

Your Hawaiian fajitas sound so good. Whenver I get them, there is enough for three people in one meal. I pray your sister gets better and better.
