Introducing Ralphie or What Big Eyes You Have

Boss of our house-sit is Ralphie, an old tabby cat, which seems to have a funny face structure. He reminds me of Egyptian statues of cats. There is another very timid, smaller tabby but she comes and goes to the food bowls through the cat doors when she thinks there is no-one around.
One cat door is very close to the head of our bed but luckily on Vince’s side although the noise it makes is loud enough for both of us to hear. You can’t tell which cat is coming in or out but if the little cat comes in, she gallops quickly through the room hoping we won’t hear her. Ralphie just stalks through without making any noise.
The photo is of Ralphie. I doubt I’ll be able to get a photo of Baby.

He is beautiful if I thought the dogs would put up with a cat and not try to kill it he'd probably have one

@thislittlepennyearns That's the way it is with many dogs and you'd be really battling to change them.

@JudyEv our dogs have just never been acquainted the right way. The only cats they know are the strays.

Ralphie looks astonished to find the cat door is in your bedroom. I know I am.

@BarBaraPrz We should do that. It would probably help.

I can't trust the old dog with kittens, but once they are grown (and after one adult opened his nose) he respects them. I won't scold him if he barks at the bed stealing cat, it is his bed after all and he's the oldest critter in the house at 14. My oldest cat is 13, but she's not the bed stealer. The younger dog leaves the cats inside the house alone, but I wouldn't trust her outside.

@JudyEv I agree, but the old dog attacked kittens in the house, luckily he didn't get his teeth on them, or he'd've had to find a new home. I know he's killed some of the kittens from the feral cat colony that used to be next door and a few baby possums.

Hello Ralphie! What are you staring at? Or is it a glare?

Ralphie is a beautiful cat. He has huge eyes! The shape of his head also looks different.
