Welcome to myLot.
I have a few plants but nothing like orchids. Orchids will only grow in a greenhouse where I live.

@MasGion Exactly! Orchids can live in our house but they tend to die if you aren't very careful with them.

I wish I had better knack. I do grow marigolds in the summer, in pots around the yard. I like them because they make their own seeds and I never have to buy them. I just harvest the seeds and keep them in a cup and I always have new, free marigolds each year.

My step-dad does the gardening. I'd be no good bending down to plant or tend to flowers!
I love orchids and you can buy them from our big Tesco but they are much too expensive.

This looks like Phalaenopsis. I once saw many kinds of orchids in the botanical garden in Beijing. Now I live in my hometown, which is relatively cold. My family has three pots of crab claw orchids. We usually raise some hardy plants

Your country is just the same as mine, also tropical. We grow mostly vegetables and indigenous herbs in our gardens most of the time through out the year. Flowers grown in my country are mostly roses and are meant for export to auction markets in Netherlands.

Due to the cost of living crisis, we have decided to start growing more fruit and vegetables.
