How old is your wall clock?

I was looking at my wall clock in the living room and thought about the time I bought it six years ago. It was more than the price of ordinary wall clocks but not that expensive compared to the pricey ones. Considering I have been using it longer than I expected, I think I made a good deal. Then as if a spirit summoned me or something, I got a stool and reached for it, thinking to wipe it clean or check its batteries. And the inevitable happened. I.dropped.it. I know! I’m clumsy like hell. I immediately checked if it’s broken and what a relief, it’s still okay. I hugged it and whispered my apologies.
How many wall clocks do you have at home?

There are currently four wall clocks in my house. I bought them all five years ago when we moved into this house. The clocks in our previous house all sat on shelves in each room but this house doesn't have shelves... And I'm not allowed to put holes in the walls according to the rental agreement. The four wall clocks are all hung on studs the landlord already installed in the walls for that purpose.

@sol_cee Yeah, I just install a new battery once a year and they tick rather loudly along.
Oh, wow! These were guaranteed by the manufacturer for one year after purchase. I would have gotten angry and written to the manufacturer if they had problems, even now. Simple things should continue to work even in old age.
Before we moved here, I had a wall clock that also told the temperature in the house and outside. (The temperature outside was measured by a small box outside that sent the information wirelessly to the clock in the house.) When it stopped working, I went to write a letter to the manufacturer and they sent one back to me stating that I had purchased a first generation wireless clock 15 years ago[ em]whistle[/em] and they were happy to know it had worked 14 years past it's guaranteed time...

Could be around ten. I acquired one more that is a birds chirping clock. It has stopped chirping now.

My main bonging wall clock must be at least 20 years old. The one in my downstairs closet is bigger but needs to be fixed. That's why its in the closet- it needs to be fixed. It's a wooden wall clock, too. I have three other clocks but they are not doing anything right now. I like wooden wall clocks that have glass- faces and chime or bong at certain times.

We only have 1 wall clock - and that's in the kitchen above a doorway to the laundry room. Most of the time no one even looks at it (they have their phones or just look on the stove clock or computers). I think I got it about 10 years ago when we moved here. If you broke your clock, you'd find out if time heals all wounds .

I actually believe it . . . I think that's very common now - sadly. I taught my kids early on because I heard that was happening in schools . . . kids can't tell time anymore or at least they only look at digital time now.

I have two wall clocks, one in the kitchen and another one in the main bathroom. We bought them both when we bought this house 24 years ago. My Mom had some very old clocks in her apartment. Suddenly I am sorry I did not take at least one home. This one in the photo was very old.

@sol_cee There are digital clocks around the television and DVD player in the living room too. But yes the kitchen clock seems popular. Even though I also have a digital clock on the stove and microwave. Three clocks in the kitchen. Kind of silly.
