Photo cause I crave attention

The photo shows Fred cat snoozing. Go hubby. He doesn't sleep well. (Neither do I.) He still is not well. But he did it. He went through all the rigamorole and got in the gym pool with me. We stayed for 35 minutes. He found he had a hard time swimming due to the water being so shallow. He thinks next time he goes he will take out his hearing aid and then be able to swim better. I kind of felt sorry for the very young life guard. He paced and really kept track of us two. Guess he's never had to deal with a blind guy. I admit it was a lot for hubby to do to get into that pool. I showed him where there is a dressing cubicle outside the main locker room- he was worried about bumping into others. Then he had issues being barefoot- first time learning the route of going from the dressing room to the pool. Oh Lordy. His arms and legs are so thin. That doctor best get off his degrees and figure something out. This is really getting out of hand. Hubby really didn't do much in the water. He did move down the pool some and coming back, kicked some. I'm sure he was bored as he waited for me to get done with my exercises. I count this pool visit as an early Valentine's Day gift. We'll see if he goes back. At least now he knows some of what to expect. And the usual music was blaring- one of the songs was John Denver's Rocky Mountain High. That got both of us singing.

I'm glad he came with you and got into the water. Hope he comes with you again next time and make it one of your "date" times. PS: Fred is sooo adorable. I wish I could pet him.

I enjoy John Denver’s music! I’m glad hubby went with you. Is he totally blind?

@shaggin The answer is yes to hubby being blind. This has been a strange and frightening time for the both of us. He has always been the strong one and here I am helping him instead of him helping me. Weird.

@shaggin He keeps apologizing cause I wait on him these days. He used to do at least half the cooking and made things like pizza from the crust up.

I'm glad your hubby decided to go with you. I'd get bored waiting for someone else but, hopefully, he'll be interested in going back with you again. The exercise can't hurt.

I'm glad he got into the pool, even though it was difficult for him to navigate the new unfamiliar path.

I'm glad hubby got out and into the pool with you. It concerns me that he is so thin and still not feeling well. My best to both of you.

@LindaOhio Hubby is having a scan done of his carotid artery today. I'm planning to butt in and insist he gets weighed.

@LindaOHio Crazy but true: they said they didn't have a scale. Last night I sent a note of concern to the primary Doc.

Hey, at least he sang with you so that can't be bad, right? I hope he goes back with you but couldn't he be allowed to go into the deeper water? Fred is a beauty.

@rebelann I told hubby I would get him to the deeper water today but he didn't want to go. There was nobody in it so it was a great time for it. We'll see what happens next.

What an experience! I'm glad he got through it. It sounds like he might go back as he will take his hearing aid out next time so he can swim better. That's a good song to sing to.

This cat is lovely! Your husband sounds to be a lot like mine, too skinny, several health problems and confused.

Hopefully it won't have been a totally negative experience and hubby will go with you another time. I'm sure it would do him good. The poor lifeguard is probably stressed out now!
