I can not believe we are nearly in February already!

It doesn't seem like five minutes ago it was Christmas and New Year and now we are already a few days away from it being February. I am actually quite shocked at how fast January has gone this year, usually, January is the month that just drags and seems to last forever. January Blues is what many people call it. Looking forward to seeing what February brings. We are so close to spring and warmer weather I am almost excited.

It sure is. It's quite weird to be honest for January to fly by like it has but here we are nearly into February.
It's actually quite scary how fast time goes now, I remember when I was a kid I used to hate how slow the days went, now I worry because of how fast they seem to go.

@RubyHawk Sure is the case. I remember when I was younger and my parents and even teachers used to tell me "Wait until you're older, you'll realise how very little time you do have" and I never believed it until now when I am older myself.

Happy early birthday! It is also my eldest son's birthday in February as well, he is turning 19 this year.

Yes time flies. I like winter, so I rather it not be hot.

I am not someone who likes the heat too much, my body doesn't like it when the weather is really hot. Last summer we had a heatwave in the UK we have never seen before, that was awful. I don't much mind winter before Christmas but after I am soon eager to see spring as it's warmer weather that I can tolerate.

@Shortie861 oh I hope your guinea pig rip. Even in my workplace we ran into so many problems and now we are back on track. Just don't want any more troubles in Feb.

Here, here! I can definitely agree with that. January started off fine for us but slowly we ran into issues and we also lost one of our eldest guinea pigs last week as well which was a shock. Really do hope that February is a better month with better luck and less worry.

@manasamanu Thank you. We know he is in a better place now. We still have two more a male and a female guinea pig. The male and the one we just lost who was also male shared a cage so he is a little lost at the moment but he is next to the other in another cage so not fully alone which we feel helps.

It's really easy to get super busy and the days just fly by and you do not know how far through a month you are until you check. I do the same with the week as well. If I am super busy I don't pay much attention to the days and then when I check, we are nearly at the weekend again. It's crazy!

I agree with you. I was entirely surprised to find that January is almost over. Like you said, the month usually drags on as slow as a snail trying to cross a field of molasses in the winter time. haha

Hello and welcome to MyLot. Yes today it feels like spring is on the way, we'll see if it really is or if more cold weather will come.
Time certainly does fly past, not just the days but the years too! It scares me when I realise I have been on MyLot since 2016!

Thank you for the welcome! We haven't had much weather that seems to show that Spring is coming yet which is a shame. I am eagerly awaiting some milder weather thought as this winter has been one of the toughest to date. Wow, since 2016! That is a long time. I only found out about MyLot a few days ago and decided to join yesterday. I am really enjoying it so far.

I agree! That is why I was so shocked when this month seemed to go fast as January always seems to drag and payday seems to be ages away but this year it seems to have gone quite fast. Usually January feels more like 2 months in one.

Thank you so much for the welcome. It really is going by way too fast, I was only saying at Christmas 2022 that Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022 didn't seem too long ago and I'll be saying it again soon enough about this past Christmas and New Year.

Time days months and seasons go by and they do not wait for anyone so we must use our time wisely or else we will lose our time we must live every day to the fullest and always find the blessings everyday even though it may be hard at times.

Can not agree more. I do what I can to live each day to the full and enjoy each day as it comes as you never know when that may be it. This was another thing that was said to me a lot as a kid, that I should always use my time wisely and enjoy it because time goes too fast. It really does make sense now that I am so much older.

I agree, January has gone by very fast this year. The time does seem to be going by faster than it used to, everybody says this and nobody knows why.

It really is very weird to see life pass by so fast no matter what you are doing. I was just saying to my daughter the other day that they have a week break starting next Friday (10th February) and then when they go back they are back for about 5 weeks before Easter break. I just know that time is going to fly by and before we know it, Easter will be here. Very scary how fast life moves.

Even though February is the month with the least amount of days, to me it often seems the longest and coldest month. January hasn't been too bad, just a lot of dull gray days of drizzle in between snowy days and such. Those drizzly days are the hardest, it's not sunny and not pleasant to be out and about in that. Time really does fly, before long we will be saying summers' over now, it's fall. Blink, and we miss it all!
