Kitty has claimed my day pack at the foot of my bed as her official kitty bed. She sleeps there during the day, and she sleeps there with me at night.
Sometimes she demands a purr fest before she goes to sleep at night. Other times she does not.
Her favorite spot seems to change monthly. We'll see how long this phase lasts.
If you've had kitties, do they change their favorite sleeping spots over time?

Yes, it's perfectly normal. Cats will move as it suits them. Chilly has rediscovered his love for the couch.

@kaylachan I like them because I am leaning against the back of the couch. I sleep well on couches.

The four days I spent at my friend's last week, the kitties came up to sleep with me. I enjoyed that.

@TheHorse They are out to please themselves at all costs. What humans do or do not want barely makes their consciousness.

My four cats have basically four different preferences, but they tend to invade one another's territory. Jealousy seems to be the reason as the chosen spots are equally comfortable.

Yep, emptied a bookshelf for Ringo so he would not push the books to the floor. After he has chosen to sleep wrapped around a pole on the cat tree. Cleared a shelf for Morticia and rearranged things, She chose to pick a small but cozy empty shelf up higher and is happy there now. SIGH

Cats are different from dogs. My puppy Kittu is very possessive about his bed. He sleeps in his bed, plays there sometimes and rests there.

We always had dogs. Our most recent Pomeranians loved to sleep on my lap.

She's a beauty.
Most of mine loved to claim spots where they can smell my scent, it's actually a compliment. Over the years I've had several kitties that loved to sleep on dirty clothes I'd worn.
