Aging

It's amazing how things change when you get older. When you're young you have the energy to run for days. Then you get older and walking or jogging for.a bit is as much as you can do. When you're young you can eat pretty much whatever you want late at night and go to bed shortly after without a problem. When you get older a meal.at 8pm wakes you up at 2am requiring the pilgrimage to the medicine cabinet for some antacid. In your younger years you can go for a night of clubbing and dance until the sun comes up and get.a few hours sleep and be up and ready to go. But, when you're much older the night ends around midnight and the wildest thing becomes dinner and good conversation with friends. It's just interesting how things change when you get older.

@LadyDuck I eat what I want but eat small quantities. I eat breakfast around 7 am and then go to sleep for the day. I eat again when I wake up for the day around 5 pm. I'm always awake after midnight.

@DaddyEvil Same as you, never large quantities, but this is what I did even when I was 20.
You have your own daily schedule. I eat breakfast around 5 a.m. and I am up until 10:30 p.m.

Everyone ages differently. As you get older your body can't do the same things it did when you were younger. If you look for example at professional athletes who play soccer, American football, basketball, etc when they're in their mid 30s they are on the decline in their careers. They are not as fast, don't have as much energy, etc.

@LadyDuck I said older. I would admit the post may suggest old but I was referring to getting older. The "not being able to eat whatever I wanted at any time of day" began in my mid or late 30s. I can still eat pizza, etc. I just can't eat it at any time of the day. We all see changes. Getting older has it's perks too, wisdom and appreciating things more.

I'm still quite energetic for my age. I have an underactive thyroid but the pills and my macrobiotic diet mean I'm still energetic. Eating a meal at 8:00pm is not really advisable. I have my dinner at 5:00pm. If I left it till 8:00pm I'd be starving by the time I got it! I've never really been one for going out much anyway, I prefer to stay in and watch the telly!

Yes, it's true that our bodies change as we age and it can affect our abilities and routines but age is just a number and it's never too late to adopt healthier habits and stay active. Regular exercise and a balanced diet can help maintain physical and mental health, regardless of age.

I agree that healthier habits help. It enables you to be in the best possible position that you can be. But, age is a little more than a number. A 100 year old person can't have the same body as a 20 year old. I would agree that they can be in good shape for their age but at some poiht numbers are numbers.

Oh it is very interesting indeed. Though I still have a good bit of stamina going, those all nighters or 3 dayers do not exist for me anymore Stay well Roland.

I could work hard till midnight when I was young. Even in my 50s I worked the whole night in content writing and slept just for two hours from 4.30am to 6.30am and did all the house work throughout the day but the situation is totally different now. I lead a routine life now and go to bed by 10pm as I am now a BP and heart patient.

I thought it was just me who was having these problems. This is nature`s way of telling us we must change as we age our bodies are not the same as they once were.
