Last month I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
I'm shocked because I don't drink softdrinks or any sweet beverages.
I also seldom eat ice cream.
As I watch more and more videos on YouTube regading Type 2 Diabetes.
I found out the factors of developing a Type 2 Diabetes are;
1. Lack of exercise.
2. Overweight
3. rice
Those 3 evil combination will result to DIABETES.
So RICE is the staple food of asian countries.
So I eat rice thrice daily so that's the evil food.
~Sigh, But now I accepted it.
All I need to do is adapt to it.
And slow its development.
Are you type 2 Diabetes?
Please comment below and share your experience.
Thank you inadvance.

Some carbs are better than others. Brown rice has more fiber and nutrition than white rice. Same with whole wheat bread. Carbs give you energy but you need to not eat too many plus cut out the processed carbs like potato chips. Get your green vegies in for sure.

I am sorry to know that. You are correct, sugar is not the only source of diabetes. It is mainly carbs, and we kabayan ate lots of rice and bread (all carbs) plus the starchy root crops.
I do not like to acquire diabetes which is one of the reasons I started losing weight last year. The first thing I cut out on my food is rice, bread, and pasta. I basically cut on my carbs.

@solidcodes true. It is easy to avoid carbs. If you have a big belly, once you cut your carbs, your tummy will shrink ahaha

Yes, plus exercise.
I do 40 push ups, 60 jumping jacks, 200 skipping rope. and 40 burpee.
I do it almost everyday but not everyday.
When I feel not good I skip exercise.
YouTube really is a BIG help with youtube, I reduces my visit with my swagger doctor LOL

Yeah, kind of. Well borderline. I meet the medical definition of diabetic, but at the same time, my sugars are under control. So.... I'm taking the diagnosis with a grain of salt, while trying to work on my eating habits.

There are people who would die without insulin, not all doctors are liars. Yes, you can often reverse diabetes with weight loss and proper eating. I was borderline diabetic and overweight, and that scared me. I've adapted to a good healthy diet and lost the extra weight, now my sugars are where they should be. It can be done, but you have to put the work into it.

Fortunately no. But my mother has. It is true about rice and sedentary lifestyle. Carbs converts to sugar so you might want to lessen your carbs. Changing your lifestyle and diet can greatly help. Keep your body moving and watch your weight. That's what my mother's doctor always tells her.

I am sorry to hear that. Sometimes the heredity can also lead to it. And the factors you mentioned are reasonable, however, I still think the real reason is not found out yet. If it can be found, then it shall be avoided or find a way to cure this disease.
As to rice is the evil food, I don't really agree to it. Although I am not very keen on it, but many Asians eat rice everyday, some even eat a lot of rice but they are still fine.
So far I know bitter gourd and pumpkin are healthy food for the diabetics.
