yeah I think the same! Core2Duo performances are impressive! A friend near my home has a notebook with core2duo...it's very fast even if it's clocked only 1.66GHz! It's a "fresh" processor too..and low consumption too. Intel after P4 failure, have done a great job with this new architecture. I hope AMD will wake up and get a better and newer architecture

I prefer Intel. My processor is Intel. I didn’t choose it actually, my sister did. I actually don’t have a knack about computers before but after years of using computers, I came to know some about it. Some of my friends prefer AMD because it’s cheaper here than Intel and has the same capability. I have used AMD before and it’s okay but I think I’m not going to change my Intel to AMD, I love my computer the way it was bought. Hehe..

I will definately prefer Intel.I would use what the world uses rather than experimenting with new processors besides AMD had heating issues and even if they fixed it i would go with Intel with the new Core2Duo processors.

i prefer AMD since i am using one.I use AMD because
--comparatively cheap
--high performance
--high stabilty
--greater support for gaming
i recommned AMD FX 64 bit computing. It has many advantage over intel pentium 4 processors.but i heard that intel pentium duo core2 is much better than other precedures and a like performance with AMD 64.so i f you are going to buy a new computer either you go for AMD FX 64 or Pentium 4 Duo core 2.
thank you!

INTEL.
Y was not a fan of Intel`s pentium 4 processor when it came out about 2 year ago.I didn`t like the longer pipeline which resuted in lower IPc each Mhz could handle.Because of this the P4 had a very rocky start, the 1.5 ghz (0.18. micron, 256 L2 cache) P4 could barely, things are totally different.
Clock for clock the P$ isstill not as powerful as the athlon but it`s much closer. Also thanks to the new core`s ability to clock high, Intels has retaken the performance crown away from Amd and doesn`t look like they`ll be losing it any time soon.

i always look up for AMD but with the release of core 2 chips, intel have my vote. i heard there will be quad core that will be released.. looks like AMD is being left behind

I always had an AMD processor in my machine because Intel was not making good processors. The old Pentium 4 architecture produced too much heat! They were ovens not processors! That was called Netburst architecture, long pipelines to go upper with clock and less performance than AMD Athlon architecture. AMD always introduce new things. Now things are changed....Intel's new Core and Core 2 architecture is much better, because it generates less heat and it scales very well. They have much cache (up to 4MB) and their performance overtake AMD processors ;(. Now I would buy a great Core 2 Duo E6600 or a E6700 to overclock and get more power :). But I am happy with my AMD Athlon64 3200+ core Venice revision E6, that overclocks very nicely. I've tested it goes up to 2.6GHz without overvolting. It's a lucky cpu...maybe it can reach 3 GHz...COOL! I am very happy with it. Maybe next time I would buy an AMD cpu too...because they are not bad in performance (even if slower than new intel's one) but they are cheaper than intel's processors! They have a good ratio price/performance!

AMD for sure...cheaper and more efficient..better graphics so good for gaming
