Are you a Freddie Mercury fan?

There used to be a guy who would roam around our village selling merienda or snack items such as bread, pastries, donuts, cake slices and other delicious goodies. He would have a big square box where he put his stuff and he would walk his way around the neighborhood shouting his products. I would wait for him at around 3 pm and he would always turn up our block. My favorite was his homemade cassava cake. I’d buy two slices and some donuts or any cakes that would catch my attention. Then a bakery opened right at an alley and the aroma of freshly baked bread would fill us up morning and afternoon. They sell different varieties of bread and pastries at a reasonable price. The ‘donut guy’ as everyone called him here (and I dunno why) started losing his shine. I would see him pass by with his box still full and I would feel sad for him. Then eventually he stopped coming to our village. I wonder where he is now.
Photo reminded me of him.

This is a familiar scenario, I've seen small businesses come and go in our barangay over the last few years.
I can't say I'm a fan of Freddie but I do listen to some Queen songs when i'm in the mood and I saw the Bohemian Rhapsody movie, that ending really made me cry.

That is a shame that he lost his customers in your village but it happens...

@sol_cee Competition between the stores should be interesting and give your other neighbors some good prices for a while.
I really hope they don't run you out of business.

Do the image and your post have any connections? It's unfortunate that he lost customers at your place, though. We can only hope that he found a new location to sell his goods. If you sell the same item repeatedly, buyers may grow accustomed to it and stop seeing the need for it. This might result in a risk of losing business.

Aww that is so sad. I hope he found other areas to sell his baked goods. That happens a lot here someone sells something in a store then someone else in town starts doing it too and it makes too much pressure on the first store and they wind up going out of business.

Sorry to hear that donut guy lost his sales after the bakery opened. I hope he was able to find other places to go that were more profitable.
I am a big fan of Freddy Mercury, and his band Queen.

I'm more of a Queen fan. Especially 70s Queen.

Sorry, that happened to that guy. However, if he has great cakes and pastries he should consider finding a place to sell them where people can come to him like at a market,

That's was so disappointing to him that he would never come back to your village because you stopped from buying from him
