I love hummus, especially they have it spicy. There is one store I like to go to and one of the guys and I agree that the best hummus is the spicy kind. It is very tangy. I do not buy hummus much and I either buy the spicy one or the regular one depending on my moods. Do many of you buy it where you are and like to eat it with bread?

I do not like strawberries and apples did not agree with my stomach after a while so no apples for me. I cannot find where I gave you ingredients for Russian dressing and add paprika to it too and try and if not good then do not add paprika and see if the other ingredients are fine.

I like hummus, and eat it fairly often. Have you tried the dessert hummuses? They are good.

@Fleura On the contrary, it is delicious. It just tastes like a fruit dip or something. It is healthy too, for the most part as it is made with the chick peas. They are fairly bland you don't taste them in the dip since there are other flavorings in there.

We love hummus and eat it with pita bread. I often buy ours at Trader Joes (we like the regular one or the roasted red pepper) but we have tried many other ones. We can also get it at the deli of our local Middle Eastern market. I know everyone says homemade is best . . . I am just lazy to make it .

@Hannihar Oh yes, we have occasionally bought Challa ... these are nice ones you have pictured here! And we know matza too! I guess there is not supposed to be leavening in it for Passover? (Not sure, I just recall something like that). I know some people use it on vegetables too - like a dip.

I love Challa. It is very good. We cannot have leavened bread on Passover. We clean before the holiday and sell the products we cannot use on the holiday and eat matza for 7 days here in Israel. Matza can be used in many ways. One can fry it on the holiday. I like it with salami fried and onion.

I have never made it but have places here in Jerusalem l like to buy it at and it is very good especially the spicy one and the regular is good too. Pita bread sounds good with it. I use Challa or lachmaniote or regular bread when I eat it. If you do not know what Challa is I will put a picture here. We eat it at our holidays and on a Sabbath but for Passover we eat matza. We cannot eat bread on Passover. I have never made it so do not know what the difference is.

Do you know anyone that has the spicy version. If so, try it before you even think of buying it.

Good idea to ask and check it out before you buy it and maybe you will not like it. I love it, but, that is my taste buds.

Can you find spicy hummus where you live? I also love it and love it spicy and sometimes I like it without the spice.

They are here in Israel and yes and there are others too that make good hummus. There is a place in town I used to buy falafel that had it and I also used to buy the other. Once a friend and I made falafel and it was tasty.

We eat it here in Israel. Maybe you never met any of your countrymen that talked about it when they were here. Here is a link about it: ttps://izzycooking.com/what-does-hummus-taste-like/#:~:text=Hummus%20is%20a%20rich%2C%20creamy,goodness%20of%20hummus%20for%20yourself!

I love hummus and actually had some for my lunch today. It was a little snack one that came with little round pitta-style bread. Very creamy and very addictive. Better than some of the supermarket-branded ones I've had before. I enjoy the flavored ones too though. Red pepper hummus and caramelized onion hummus.

It is good on pita. I like to put hummus on a salami sandwich at times with mustard. I like the plain or the spicy. Where did you get yours? I guess it depends on what supermarkets you go to that it is quite tasty. I would not get carmelized onion one. I like hummus how it is supposed to be plain or spicy. I would look up the recipes on hummus and find the right one that you find you can use.

My 86 year old mother has hummus everyday as part of her breakfast, she mixes it with techina. So I have to have both of them all the time in the house. I get it at a local Jerusalem store called Rami Levy.

Thanks Rachael and I have shopped on occasion at Rami Levy. There are lots that like techina and I do not eat it. Hummus I love and do not have that often and prefer if can find the harif one I like it a lot. Does your Mom put it on lachmaniote or how does she eat them? What else does she have for breakfast. Does she have tomatoes too?
