Do you like cooking?

I have to say I hate cooking. If I did not have the responsibility to cook for the rest of the family and lived alone I would rather cook occassionally rather than every day. The fact that you end up spending an hour cooking, just to eat everything in 10 mins or so is something I cannot stand to be honest. It is essentially a chore for me, anyone feels the same? I honestly wish I loved cooking, but cannot help the way I feel.

@MarieCoyle - You are so right Marie. When the fiance of my niece asked to "eat at home" because I do better than the restaurant made me so happy.

@LadyDuck That was so nice, what a compliment, Anna. I think some people make cooking seem a lot harder than it really is. Plus there is an entire generation out there that have not been taught the basics of cooking--if it comes in a box, or frozen, they heat it up and call that ''fixing dinner'' and let's be honest, it's not.

It is such a good feeling, Anna. I especially like it when one of the kids brags on how good something was that I cooked. Makes my heart happy.

I like to cook... And usually cook something at least once a day for my daughter and I. I've been cooking since I was 13 years old.

Not as enjoyable now as it used to be. Nearly hard to impossible to find good food at an affordable price when eating out, not to mention the restaurants never have enough employees, at least around here they don't.

I love cooking and don't mind it at all. Some days it can be a chore (and I am the primary cook in the house). But it is also something you pretty much have to do, so...I guess it is what it is.

I enjoy cooking and try experimenting various dishes. I am good and quick with it. I have been cooking since a very young age. But still every now and then I take a break from it when I am in no mood to cook. I guess that we all deserve that kind of break.

It's half-half. If I don't feel lazy, I will cook, but if not, I will just buy the food outside.

I love to cook. I always have. It's fun, and it's even better when my family is here to appreciate my efforts. Plus, I can eat good, clean, delicious food, and I know what's in it and that it was prepared in a clean environment. Cooking can be a great creative outlet. You can make things the way you personally want them. I am sorry you hate it, since you have to cook, maybe you can try a way to make it enjoyable.
