Spring Fair

At my children's school they always organize a fair in autumn and spring. Today is the spring fair.
All students bring things to sell at the fair, my children brought oranges, lemons, cabbage and cakes. The money each class makes from sales is used for class activities, such as field trips, trips to the theater...
I went there in the morning to buy something and help the classes. I bought sweet potatoes, beans, hazelnuts and cakes.
The fair was a lot of fun, the kids learn to set prices, haggle, basically they learn economics, it is good to have these initiatives.
Do you have tematic fairs there?
Picture I took of the fair this morning.

I'm glad you enjoyed the fair.
We do have fairs here but mostly in the Fall.

@nela13 Yes, that's definitely true... I think the weather is much nicer in the Fall for something like this, too.

Good experience for all. I have been to things like that at schools but they are usually more like some kinds of fairs the kids are engaged in.

This is a good way for the kids to learn trading and how hard money earning can be.
Yet all this is good if done in a supportive environment and positive way.
If similar things are implemented in India, our education system is perhaps not so ready and I am not sure if kids would learn appropriately.

The kids enjoy these sort of activities, it is funny seeing them trying to negotiate the price.

That's a good way to raise money for their outings. I know students in our schools will raise money for their trips through selling cookies or candy. Yours sounds a lot like our farmer's markets where produce is sold.

That fair sounds like a great idea for making money for the classes. It certainly looks like fun and I bet the kids enjoyed the selling and making money part.
