Tub of ice cream

I got this tiny tub of ice cream a few days ago and just when I was planning on having it my throat acted up. I was not sure if I could still have it.
It is there in the deep freeze and I am just waiting to finish it The throat is feeling better but I am not sure if it is safe to have it Some say ice cream is good for a sore throat but what if it aggravates?
Is ice cream good for a sore throat?

I read somewhere that one should eat when the throat is sore but I am not sure
