Back in Town

I never thought the last several weeks would keep me away from myLot for so long, but I can’t complain. Hubs and I have been in and out of Florida many times. If you’re interested, these are the reasons why.
We sponsored our granddaughter’s crew team and flew up to New Jersey to watch her first open water event, then spent time at our house in Connecticut. 
We flew back to Florida to have the finishing touches and city inspection done on our new hurricane doors and windows and yet another city inspection when the finishing work was done.
We flew to Malta with another couple to visit our Finnish friends who used to live one floor down, but decided to buy a winter home there.
And, our last flight was an impromptu visit to New Orleans with my brother, sister-in-law, and our friends for dinner. What a blast!
In between, we made arrangements to have our “Florida” car shipped to Connecticut. Don’t want hubs junking up our new car, so rather than let our “Florida” car sit unused for months on end, he will have it to bomb around in and fill with gardening supplies.
Other than that, hubs and I, with and without friends and family, have been shopping, eating out a lot, celebrating my brother’s birthday, and enjoying the beautiful Florida weather. I’m planning a dinner party here on Friday, still my favorite day lol, and slowly packing for our departure towards the end of April. Also, having our area rug cleaned today. Sigh…….
I honestly haven’t had a moment to myLot and will try to visit you more often. Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Day!

Thanks, Anna. Hubs and I have been having such a good time. I think he needed it more than I did
Trying to enjoy the rest of our time here. My brother’s wife left for Connecticut and our other sister-in-law is leaving April 19th. Starting to get sad thinking our time here is ending, but can’t wait to return home to garden!

@LadyDuck My son mentioned that we had April showers in CT. I check our video doorbell a couple of times a week, but only saw rain once. In Florida, it’s been dry for months. We had rain overnight, which was a pleasant surprise and some just as I was about to go walking.
I did take a 45 minute walk at 11:00 when the sun came out, but it was too hot to walk longer.

That's a lot on your plate but good reasons to be busy. I am quite busy myself but I am in a mylot mood so I am going to take advantage of that.

Busy is an understatement! I'm glad you enjoyed the last several weeks. It's a good idea to ship the car to Connecticut. Soon you will be flying home.
When is your grandson's Bar Mitzvah? You still have a lot going on. Enjoy the day. It's good to see you here.

Thank you! Hubs was planning on buying an SUV when we got home, but had the brainstorm of shipping the Lexus home. Unfortunately, we drove our new Mercedes down, so will have to drive it back. It’s very costly shipping cars. One is enough. Besides, we plan on doing some sightseeing on the way home and taking our time. Our son will accept the car for us. I just need to be home by May 1st for my beauty appointment
His Bar Mitzvah is May 20th. Yes, still have lots going on and coming up.

Nice to hear from you. I knew you were somewhere having the time of your life so I was not worried. I hope you had a nice Easter. Just me and the cats as usual and they provided entertainment by screeching and chasing each other around. Lately, time seems to fly as I keep busy online. It was just Monday and now it is coming to an end, I hope you have a great rest of the week,

Hubs and I have been ultra busy, but it was all fun and good. Our granddaughter was so excited to see us at her crew event. We told our son not to let her know we were coming. We stayed in a hotel our first night, then in their guest bedroom for two nights. After that, we hightailed it to CT in a rental car to see our younger son. Since our house was basically closed up, we stayed in his guest bedroom. Glad we stopped by our house. The daffodils I planted in the fall were blooming.
