Hunt those eggs

The only person small enough to hunt eggs was "Beanie". Not her real name. She will be five this week and is thrilled by everything. Full of life, full of energy. She wears her mom and grandma out. Her grandma is my niece. So my sister in law and a friend of the family hid eggs for Beanie. They were plastic eggs filled with candy. They had a lot prepared, but the only hid 24. She found 23. Conclusion is that either the hiders mis counted or they will find the missing egg with the lawnmower. Easter Sunday included a very nice service, plus a children's message. Eliza a two year old, thought the donkey in the egg for the story was a dinosaur. Afterwards family and friends gather to eat, visit, eat some more, play games, etc. I am tired today, and will go back to work tomorrow.

It is so nice your habit of eggs hunting, we have nothing like that here.

I guess I never thought about what other countries do. Not sure where the custom came from but it can be lots of fun.

@LadyDuck You always seem to have the answers. I did remember Germany and just thought that all the German settlers brought the custom.

@GardenGerty The tradition of egg hunts originated in Germany. The mother of Queen Victoria was German and passed the tradition to the UK and from there to your country.

You are right, she was. She laughed and gigled and screamed and screached. And ran like crazy.

Not sure it was exactly good, but I did rest. I would be the type to write it down. Other people are just impulsive and do not want that structure.

@GardenGerty I sometimes put money in them or small toys. So wanted to make sure they got them all

Beanie almost got it all! I think the problem was those people who hid the eggs counted it wrong!!!

Some kids have such energy. I wonder if you'll ever find the 24th egg!

It is possible the hiders miscounted. Maybe a squirrel will find it.

We usually buy them in dozens or more. Did you buy a cooked egg or raw so you could cook it?
